Can you meet Chewbacca outside of Star Wars Weekends? We will be there 9/18-9/26 and I would LOVE to get a chance to meet him! I mean the kids would love to meet him lol...

No. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers do sometimes make random appearances every now and then but that is about it outside of the Star Wars Weekend events.

Not strictly true - August 2006, Stars and Cars parade. They were there, but you couldn't meet them

We got pictures with Padme Amidala once - and it wasn't SWW. But if you want pictures with Chewie, you will need to be at Star Wars Weekend.

Yeah, I don't get my they don't have a regular M&G with characters like Vader, Maul, Stormtroopers, Chewie, etc. They have the costumes and they'd be popular. I mean, even if it is just one character, why not do it?

Sooooo many popular characters we all would love to see that never or very seldom make appearances. Maybe they dont have enough cast members they are willing to pay to costume up or they figure the mob scenes for some characters would be overwhelming.

The Jedi Training Academy is year round and not jut for SWW.

Now that Lucasfilm is a Disney property, I really think they could/should sustain the meet and greets. There's no good reason not to.

I can understand them saving "rare" characters for SWWs. But why not have of the most popular folks meet on a regular basis year round? In a park that needs more "stuff", that would be an easy addition.
