Chefs de France only accepting Tables in Wonderland for Lunch?

I was on the Tables in Wonderland site and noticed that Chefs de France is listed as accepting Tables in Wonderland for lunch only. This seemed odd as we were just there in June and they were accepting it for dinner. I checked on the mobile site, though, and it does not denote that the card is good for lunch only. Anyone know if this is a mistake? Is TIW for Chefs de France really only good for lunch only now?

Well, that stinks on ice.

I guess I won't be getting another TiW card anytime soon.

I understand the removal of V&A. That is not a "normal" dining experience, and I was suprised it was ever part of TiW (But I took advantage of twice anyway :-) )

I don't understand the extended blackout dates though, or the removal of certain dinner services.

The credit card thing is just a pain in the rear. If I am part of the dining party, why can't somone else in my party pay? We did just that very thing last month. My family was there with my in-laws. My in-laws wanted to pay for dinner, so I used my TiW, and my mother in law paid with her card. What benefit is it to Disney to make ME pay with my card, and then my mother in law give me money later?

I'm just speculating, but I'd agree Disney doesn't receive any benefit in having your mother-in-law pay you later. However, I'd think that they do benefit from ensuring that the original purchaser of the TiW card is the person actually using it in the restaurant. Obviously this would help prevent TiW card sharing.

As an example, it would deter someone from giving their TiW card to a friend or family member to use on their trip.

But, when my mother in law paid, they took my Drivers License and checked it against the name on my TiW. Why not just continue to do that?

I've had TiW for 3 years and I've only run into problems with the credit card thing twice. I even have done it with very different names on the card (not family) and once a nice cast member offered to split the check between two groups and give us both the discount.

It's policy but most of the time I have found that cast members are more than happy to give you the discount and run whatever credit card you give them.

For what it's worth the only places I've been hassled about this were Yatchsman and Ohana.

FYI, DVC members...last time I was able to get a 10% DVC discount at Chefs de France (didn't take the TIW card with me) at dinner. I don't know if they were supposed to or not, but it's worth a try.

Most servers don't care about the credit card thing. I've only had that be an issue once- at Boma, with a particularly nasty manager who flat out stated it was impossible (not true, obviously, as we've done everywhere else). We've since never returned to Boma.
