Chef Mickeys for breakfast, then AK, but how? Offsite guests

So we are driving to the Contemporary (staying off property) for breakfast at Chef Mickeys and will then be going to AK for the rest of the day. What's the quickest way to get to AK? Do we just go get in our car and drive there?

Also, what time do you think we'd actually get to AK after having 10:45 am dining reservations? Just trying to gauge our arrival time for FP planning.

It would be best to take your car to AK.

I would allow 1.5 - 2 hrs for dining and about a 20 min drive to AK.

World Drive south to Osceola Parkway (from Contemporary, you'll be routed around MK parking, past Poly and Carquest, and onto World Drive -- just follow the signs). Osceola Parkway west to AK. Probably 15 - 20 minute drive.

Me, I would take the monorail to the TTC (next stop) catch the Epcot monorail. If you've done the monorail before then driving would be best. To get back you could take the monorail or the bus back to the Contemp.

She was asking about AK. Not Epcot.

They aren't supposed to leave their car at the Contemporary all day as they are not resort guests. They can only park as long as they are dining and visiting the hotel.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Was hoping there was an easier and quicker way than driving. Oh well, it's kind of an off day for us. Mainly just doing our FPs and then leaving.
