Chef Mickeys dining experience

Gitson Shiggles

There was me, that is Mickey, and my three droogs
It is not a tradition for our family as this is our first trip but it has been in our plans from the beginning. Not only is it a character experience for our little ones but one for me as well. Growing up WDW to me was a one day trip to the MK while visiting my Grandparents who spent the winter in a RV park near Orlando. I remember on my first trip riding the Monorail through the Contemporary and looking down at people eating and thinking that was the coolest thing ever and always had a dream of someday staying in that hotel. Alas, when it came time to plan this trip, staying at the Contemporary just wasn't in our budget so when I found out about Chef Mickey I put it on our "must do" list. I'm going in with virtually no expectations of the food, just looking forward to the experience, and the time and location work well with our plans for that day.
You’ve checked off all the reasons why I like Chef Mickey’s. I hope your family enjoys it.

Indeed, the entire experience provides memories and pictures that will be with my family for our entire lives. I have zero regrets and its a must do when ever we go to WDW :)

The experience of flying food that is launched from your co-diners napkins when they have everyone swing their napkins around it not to be missed. Nothing like a blob of cheese and bbq sauce being flung at your face to say “celebrate with Mickey!”

Chef Mickey's is a tradition for us. We try to eat there every trip. I have a 26 year old with special needs. She loves character meals. We always find something tasty to eat. The character interactions have always been great. We also enjoy watching the other families interact with the characters.

While it seems to be possible, we have never had this happen to us, either. We have never seen this happen to someone else in our multiple times there. The occurrence, however remote, is within the realm of reality, though. Please take notice of the likelihood of this happening in calculating whether to dine at Chef Mickeys. Also watch out for falling meteors.
