I actually posted this about 6 months ago on another site, but it seems like my ideas were pretty close to what people would like to see. Read on and enjoy!

Because of the continuing energy crisis in our world the monster world has offered to build an energy factory called Monsters Inc. in a Disney park. They have learned that the power of laughter from both children and adults is a powerful energy source and burn much cleaner than fossil fuels. Since they do not want to scare humans now that they are in our world, the monsters are having an open house for all who wish to visit the new factory. So come along it's sure to be fun for the whole family.
The Monsters Inc. building looks just like it did in the film. As we enter the lobby we find ourselves in a circular atrium with Ceilia as the receptionist. She informs us that we have a choice of tours. There is the Test Floor where we can see all sorts of new gadgets the monsters are coming up with. There is the Factory tour which will show us various parts of the factory and there is the Executive tour which is being presented by the new CEO of Monsters Inc. Unfortunately this tour is restricted because it goes into some sensitive areas of the factory, so those under 40" will not be able to join in.
Let's check out the Test Floor first. Here we enter the massive factory floor. Above our heads we can see the tracks where doors are transported and there are various carts full of people being wheeled around the perimeter of the upper levels. But the real fun is right there on the floor. There are mirrors which distort what we look like. There are megaphones which change our voices from normal to funny to scary. There are interactive lab experiments and a whole cushioned play area for the little ones. And of course there are monsters telling jokes and answering questions from all of us. There is also a gift shop, where we can take a little piece of Monsters home with us. What’s next? Let’s check out the factory tour.
The que for the Factory tour winds through various hallways of the factory leading us into a conference room. There we are treated to a corporate presentation of what Monsters Inc. is all about and what they are here to do for us. It is of course presented by their top guy, Mike Wackowski and running the PowerPoint and slide presentation is his partner Sully. We learn of the history of Monsters Inc. and how they used to scare children until they learned that laughter is much more powerful. Of course Sully isn’t exactly a technical expert and how the vacation slides of Mike and him on Splash Mountain got in there, he has no idea. Every time he messes up we laugh and there is a power surge. Which of course only flusters Sully more so that he messes up more. But somehow Mike gets through the presentation and asks us to move along and climb aboard their new conveyer carts which will give us a guided tour of the rest of the factory. We enter the next room and are seated in carts that hold 12-16 people in each. We are asked to put on safety glasses by Mike and Sully who continue to be our narrators through onboard audio.
As we exit the loading area we enter the factory floor. Above us we can see hundreds of doors which we are told are the monster’s portals into our world. Below us we can see the Test floor which is full of monsters and humans. After we cross the factory we enter into a portal room. This is where monsters go to work getting the laughter of children. We see the doors in their machines with seemingly nothing on the other side but when we pass in front of an open door we see a whole room inside! Suddenly there is a commotion and Randal appears. He says that things should go back to the way they were and they should be scaring humans not making them laugh. He knows how to do it too, he just needs some test subjects like….us! He turns invisible and grabs hold of the cart we are in and pushes us into one of the closet doors as alarms start to go off. We rush through the bedroom, which has a bed with a Buzz Lightyear bedspread and a bunch of toys, which seem to be moving on their own? Nah couldn’t be. Although we could swear that we heard the piggy bank say, “What the heck was that?” as we zoom through another open door.
We find ourselves in another bedroom that looks like a quaint old cottage, there are a number of hand carved toys lying around and in the corner there is a blue fairy casting a spell over a wooden puppet. We never get to see if the spell works because we go through another door and find ourselves back in the factory. “There they are!” we hear Mike yell. “I’ll get them” Sully answers. “Oh no, not the doors again” says Mike as we see them jump aboard a door which is on the track ahead of us. But the door is heading in the opposite direction as Randal takes us through yet another door.
We find ourselves in the bedroom of the Darling children who are all clustered around their window seeing who should fly first while Tinkerbell puts pixie dust on them. She over shoots and covers us as well. “I think that’s them in there. There’re covered in Pixie dust!” we hear Mike say. “Quick, everyone think happy thoughts,” says Sully. Suddenly we begin to float up towards an attic trap door and exit back into the factory from a door that was lying on the ground. “I have got to get you humans to my secret Lab.” Says Randal as we see a bunch of doors with other guests on them!? heading our way. Mike and Sully are on the back of the “train” of doors. “There they are” yells Sully. But Randall ducks us into another door before Mike and Sully can jump off the doors.
We’re in another bedroom that looks to be in a castle and all of the furniture seems to be moving and singing something about being their guest but we don’t have time for that as Randall takes us through an archway in search of another door. We come upon a huge beast who yells, “What is a slimy lizard doing in my house?!” “Time for a quick exit” says Randall as he bursts through another door bringing us back to the factory. But we’re heading directly for a ledge and it looks like we’re going to go over until…the train of doors swoops in and we hear Sully say, “Gottcha”. If we look behind us we see a huge furry blue and purple arm extended from the back of the door train to the back of our cart. Sully is holding us high above the factory floor as we zoom along.
“Let go of my test subjects!” yells Randall. We hear Randall hitting Sully’s arm and we hear Sully, “Ow, stop with the hitting. I can’t hang on to them.” Sully has to let go and we fall but only a short distance to one of the ledges on the opposite side. “Perfect” says Randall as a wall opens to reveal a dark passageway leading down. He pushes us through.
“Now I’ll show them how much power there is in screams,” says Randall as we come to a stop. We are face to face with the Scream Extractor 3000Ô. It is huge, menacing, and pointing right at us. Randall appears at the control station on our right and begins to power up. “Okay everyone,” says Randall, “Say scream!” The SE3000Ô begins to glow and looks like it’s about to fire when…Sully appears next to it and pulls it so that it is pointing at Randall. “Uh-oh” is all Randall has time to say before a bright green laser comes out of the SE3000Ô and fries him.
“Mike, get them out of here” says Sully as our carts begin to move again. We exit the lab and enter another room where we are asked to exit our vehicles. Mike continues to apologize for what happened and suggests that we take a look at the test floor or go on the executive tour. On several video screens in the exit area is a message from the CEO saying that he hopes we have enjoyed our tour and will use Monsters Inc. as our future energy provider.
What ever could be next? Of course the Executive tour!
We get into the que that takes us up towards the top of the building, because all the important offices are at the top. We are finally brought into the office of the CEO, where he welcomes us and tells us about Monsters Inc. and how much he is looking forward to working with the human world. He says that we are about to go into some top-secret facilities and learn what Monsters Inc. is working on for the future. Just as we are about to exit, alarms begin to go off. It seems a renegade ex-employee named Randall has kidnapped a cart full of humans from the factory tour. They need to be rescued!
The CEO apologizes for cutting the tour short but this needs immediate attention. But wait, perhaps we could help. We learn that in order to be more efficient Monsters Inc. has been developing a new transportation vehicle which is based on their existing door track systems. There are only a few experimental models ready, but they could get us to anyplace in the factory fast. Do we want to help? Of course we do.
We enter the loading area that is made up to look like a lab. We get onto these doors which have been modified to have seats in front of them and several doors have been tied together to form a “train”. As we pull out of the lab we hear the CEO, “Don’t worry, we’ll be in constant control of where you are going.” Just before we enter the factory floor we pass by Mike and Sully who are pointing towards the factory. . “There they are!” we hear Mike yell. “I’ll get them” Sully answers. Suddenly we feel Sully climb on behind us. “Oh no, not the doors again” says Mike. “Hope you don’t mind us tagging along” says Sully as we rocket into the factory floor. The doors go rocketing through the factory swooping and banking.
We pass one of the carts as it enters a door. “I think that’s them in there. There’re covered in Pixie dust!” we hear Mike say. “Quick, everyone think happy thoughts,” says Sully. As we swoop around again we see the cart pop up out of a door sitting on a floor ledge. And we’re heading right for them! “There they are!” yells Sully, but they duck into another door before we can reach them. “We missed them,” says Mike, “Let’s see if I can get this thing turned around”. Suddenly we are in a batwing element and going back the way we came. “Not quite what I had in mind, but it works.”
We go into a smaller portion of the factory over a ledge and from a door on our left pops out the cart right below us. “Gotcha” says Sully as we pick up the cart. “Let go of my test subjects!” yells Randall. We hear Randall hitting Sully’s arm and we hear Sully, “Ow, stop with the hitting. I can’t hang on to them.” Sully has to let go as he does the sudden loss of extra weight pushes us forward quickly. “We’re on the wrong track now!” yells Mike as we go into a vertical loop. “We have to get off, they headed down that passage” says Mike. We pass by the passage and feel Mike and Sully jump off, but before they do Sully says, “Thanks a lot for all your help folks.”
“We’re going to bring you back now, hold on while I figure out these controls” says the CEO as another burst of speed takes us through a helix and a barrel roll. “Ahh, this should do it.” We hit the brakes and as we come gliding to a stop we see below us Sully zapping Randall as the cart full of guest gets saved. We move forward into the station and disembark from our doors. On video screens as we exit is the CEO, “Thank you all for helping with this little disruption. I guess it just goes to show what humans and monsters can do if they work together!”

Some explanations: The executive tour would be an inverted roller coaster with an enhanced motion base which would make it seem as if Mike and Sully are indeed grabbing on right behind us. This would also be necessary in the section where we “pick up” the kidnapped cart. That whole section would be done through a combination of large projection screens to provide 3-D animation for the guests on the cart and motion bases. It would physically be the slowest part of the ride but the effects would make it seem like the fastest. Let me know what you think.
