Check-in Time

We are excited to be staying at POP in June, but I'm confused about the limited check-in time from 3-4. Our flight gets in at 7 p.m., and we're renting a car so won't be using the shuttle service. Any suggestions about how to check-in late in the evening? Thanks!

You can check in on your arrival day at any time at the WDW resorts. Your room is not guaranteed to be ready earlier than 3 PM but you can certainly do your check in, and have bell services hold your bags at the minimum. If you are arriving at 7 PM then your room should definitely be ready. This will not be a problem!

You should be fine. The resort front desks are always staffed. You may wish to do on-line check-in, which will speed things up for you once you do arrive.

As others have stated, you should be able to check in as late as you want. I'm pretty sure we checked in past 11 pm on one vacation. Usually the only problem is checking in BEFORE 3 pm because sometimes the room isn't ready yet, but even in that case you could still check in and go to the parks and they'd hold your bags and move them to your room when it is ready. You can also use online check in to help speed things up and let them know if your arrival time then.

Just to clarify, you can keep your bags at Bell Services if your room is not ready, but when you return to the resort you will either have to pick up your bags from Bell Services and take them to your room OR you can call Bell Services from your room and have them bring your bags. Bell Services will not move your belongings automatically.

If you use Disney's Magical Express luggage service from the airport, your checked luggage will be placed in your room. But any carry-ons you have stowed at Bell Services will not.

We always drive overnight to arrive and have gotten there as early as 5am before. Never had an issue checking in and a couple times the room has already been available at 6 or 7am and gives us a chance to get cleaned up before hitting the parks! (if not, lobby restrooms are great for a quick clothing change and clean up and at OKW the pool bathrooms open up pretty early if a shower is in order)
