Check-in Time

We are staying at the WL in September and our flight gets in at 10:00. I'm figuring that I won't get to WL until about 11. What are the chances that the room will be ready when I get there?

Going in Septemebr use to be eally good. I know with the free dining there are a lot of people going but usually the crowds are down so I would say your chances are very good. We have been all times of the year except when they are the busiest and we usually get in at that time and I do not remember ever not getting into the room.

Do on-line check in and the rooms are assigned ahead of time. If possible they will give you a room not used the night before if they know you are arriving early. Works every time for us. Good Luck and have a magical time:sohappy:

Pam the online check-in works very good and if your room is not ready which is slim, BUT does happen. Also depends on how many requests your have (eg. room with view, close to lobby or pool or any other special needs). They will ask if you want to be notified by text or phone call to your cell, which is also very nice.

Check in time is 3pm (4pm for vacation club villas). If your room is not ready upon your arrival you will be able to get your Keys to the World cards right away and bell services will be happy to hold your luggage so you can head out for fun. You will be given a number to call to see when your room is ready and sometimes you can get a text letting you know you when your room is ready.

All good points..

Something to consider...understanding budget constraints...If flying Id always reccomend..coming a day early...why you ask?

1. I trust airlines to get me to my destination on time as much as I trust the Redsox to win the pennant. Orlando is a busy airport...Id hate your stay to start on the wrong foot beacouse of events beyond your control. I value the money I pay for the Disney Expierence and want every minute Im paying for SO:

2. COme a day early..book one night at one of the value resorts..generally not a bad price..this gets you the disney transportation and luggage service...you can have tem transfer your baggage to your "main resort" preference the next day. Get to the resort early as mentioned in previous entries..early folks have a fair shot of getting rooms on the spot..as resorts are on average 82% occupied.

3. Even if the room is not available..your luggage is stored there by guest relations..you have your keys to the kingdom..enjoy the resort or parks..with no stress or issues

Just my opinion

I've never in the past had any problems getting into the resort or into Orlando for that matter, I always try to fly down as early in the day as possible. I usually will also dress for a day in the park on the way down. Last time I was down flight landed just before 9am, got to the resort by 10-10:30 room was ready to go, went to the room dropped off my carry on and got lunch and out to the parks we went. I have also gotten there that time in morning and have been told it would be a little bit for the room, dropped my carryon off with bell services and went straight to the park.

Best bet with Orlando is fly early in the day as early as possible, the middle of the afternoon is the worst time for that airport due to weather, plain and simple and its also the busiest time of the day as far as arrivals go. Fly early in the morning for best results.
