Cheap places to find Disney autograph books?

Where can we find inexpensive autograph books for our 3 children? I know inside the parks are supposed to be expensive. When we went before we found some at the Wal-Mart. We really don't want to drive that far this time or get caught up in Wal-mart for an hour or more. Did I hear that one of the Publix grocery stores has a Disney section with things like this?

I purchased an inexpensive 5"x7" scrapbook from an outlet store for $1.99 and had some left over Disney material from a previous project. So covered the front, back cover of the book with the material, and covered the insides of the covers with card stock, so you do not notice the material that is on the inside. My daughter wrote her name and if she wanted to put Disney stickers on the inside, she could and that is what she is taking down as her autograph book. I bought an extra book for the extra pages so if we decided to put her picture with the character who autographed the book on the adjacent page.

I love the card ideas and scrapbook ones. However, if you are like my SIL, who has no time or a craftie bone in her body, it's best to buy the autograph books outright. Also, as I stated before stickers can be costly and the book even though it was cheap could cost more or the same.

Poowie to 'autograph' books

Since our 1st standard autograph book 11 years ago, I've found character diaries a better way to collect autographs. And for a while, there, you could find them half price everytime a newer character diary came out...making them cheaper than standard autograph book. I prefer the theming and most of the time the 'books' themselves are better made. They generally have themed covers (plastic, fur, lights, sounds...), themed (watermarked) pages. We have several princess diaries for our princess autographs (if it is a particular princess, then we let them sign the 1st page).
There is a series of themed diaries out now that are pretty much the same price as the (boring) standard autograph books. One features Minnie, another Mickey, another Simba, another Tink
A themed book gives the character a reason to make a big deal and spend more time with your kid...which is the main reason for getting autographs.

Autograph books are:
$12 (blue small one with big pen)
$11 for the princesses (no pen but autograph & photoalbum)
$13 for the Happiest Celebration (gold one with pen, not sure exact price, same as above)

Sharpies are your friends, specially big Sharpies.
the cheapest pen in property is 3.90 and is a good size.

There is a small blue one that does not come with a pen that is $7. The sharpie click pens can be bought at your local craft stores for about $2.25. I highly recommend the new click sharpies, so there is no fumbling or chance of losing the cap.

Something I saw this spring on my visit. Buy yourself a Disney T-Shirt and have the characters sign all over the shirt with a sharpie. Just know that the shirt can not be on you while being signed. Something different than the book idea.
