Where we live, 40 miles from the world, we can get a whole pie at a national chain for around 7-10$for a large pepperoni. We frequently staycation inside the bubble or very near and can't find that price at those same chains or anywhere else. The closest I can get that price seems to be the Dr. Phillips area, which is just too far. I understand why of course but it just bugs me to pay that much more outside of Disney. We'd like a decent pie for around the same price we pay at home. Any ideas? Take out or delivery. Where is the price hike ( or as I was politely told "ad-free" zone)? Encountered the same problem with drug stores too. Although there we were told they would match their ad only if you show it and ask. No such luck with pizza.

The only way to get "home" prices is to stay home.
To help you feel better, just go to a college or pro football game and pay $4 for a bottle of water and $8 for a hot dog. Then you will feel better about prices in the WDW area.

Hunters Creek just down 417 would offer the deals you are looking for. But depending on where you are staying that could just as far as Dr. Philips though.

My brain is seriously not awake because when I read that you live "40 miles from the world" my first thought and question was do you live on Pizza Planet? :cautious:

The McDonalds on 192 is the absolute worst in the world ! We've stopped there after the parks a few times and at midnight we've waited in the drive through line for a half hour. On top of the wait, I can't remember an order ever coming out correct.

The Windermere Pizza Hut and Papa Johns (about 3 miles from the Magic Kingdom cast parking lot) both honor most national offers. That is also true for Domino’s and Cici’s on Palm Parkway (near the 535 Disney entrance closest to Disney Springs). Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs sells their personal pizzas for around $9. Flippers at the Crossroads across from the 535 Disney entrance is a bit higher, but is a really good pizza. So there are affordable pizza options in the immediate area.

Is the Crossroads shopping center still closing? (That's where all the normal priced food is)

Update: Till 2021 and then we lose these cheap food options:

This is why they are cheap:
"Tenants at the property, including Red Lobster, Gooding’s Supermarket and Buffalo Wild Wings, will be allowed to remain rent-free at the Crossroads center until at least the end of August 2021. "
Employees I have talked to at Sweet Tomatoes at the Crossroads say that nothing is imminent and that managers are not yet even discussing closure or relocation. So I think that the article referenced is probably accurate.

We've ordered Dominos and had it delivered several times. Same prices as home. No problems. Always delivered quickly .

Most Value resorts and a few moderates have a large pizza for about $16. Domino's quality (maybe just slightly less - not enough for a significant difference). But your toppings are limited.

Cici Pizza all you can eat pizza, salad, brownies, cinnamon rolls for about $6 per person. I think there is one location on Palm Parkway and the other one on International Drive. Not the best but if you are hungry then this is it.
