My husband and I LOVE food (who doesn't, right? especially at the World). We've enjoyed dining at California Grill, Le Cellier, and lots of other delicious (and expensive) restaurants! But there are lots of cost-friendly, delicious options that are available to please the palate without breaking the bank! We are planning a trip in March that we want to do as cheaply as possible (taking three trips in 6 months, so this one will be on the cheap). We both have AP's, got very cheap flights, and are planning on trying to do our meals--not as cheap as possible--but as cheap as we can do enjoyably! We don't want to bring our own food or anything like that, we love dining at Disney, we just want to get some deals We like to drink around the world, so I'm sure we will be having drinks, but I just wanted to start compiling a list of some cheap--but still delicious--dining options!! It's kind of fun to try to see how cheaply you can eat at Disney!! Here's what I have so far:
(FYI, we both have big appetites, but we do like to eat a little bit lighter at meals so that we can save room for more snacks. There is so much to enjoy at WDW)
Biscuits and gravy $3.69-- I had this while staying at POFQ in October. I LOVE biscuits and gravy and this is a very large portion (two biscuits, both split in half, covered in sausage gravy). I couldn't finish it all myself, so I think I could probably split this with the DH. Very cheap and filling breakfast! In addition, we will have a TiW card that will be applicable at the cafeteria at All-Star Sports where we will be staying!
Corn Dog Nuggets $4.49 at Casey's Corner, MK --- I LOVE these things dipped in the fake cheese! Plenty of food for me, no need for fries!
Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle sandwich $6.99 at Sleepy Hollow, MK -- DH and I split one of this for lunch one day on our May trip, and then had a snack in the afternoon when we got a little hungry. Very good! Not super filling, but perfect for a light lunch for us.
Chicken Schwarma Platter at Tangierine Cafe, Epcot - $11.99 -- DH and I have split this one twice, both times for dinner. Plenty of tasty food for the two of us to have for dinner. Great deal to split it on the dining plan too!
Nachos at La Cantina de San Angel, Epcot - $9.99 -- Another one that we split! Very good, especially when paired with a split margarita as well!
Those are just a few that come to mind right now! In general, we definitely get the most value out of splitting menu items. We enjoy kind of "grazing" around the World. What are some of your favorite cheap (but still delicious) eats at WDW?
