Charging for coffee??

As an owner I know these things but renters usually would have no way to know. It is specifically stated in the contract I use so that there are no surprises. I don't use a broker. I do it all myself and save the renter even more so I feel obligated to give them as much info as I can.

I just lift them from the condiment bar at the Food Court.

I have, on occasion, been known to liberate needed items - towels, soaps, dish soap, etc. - from unattended mousekeping carts in the hallway. Not so many that the poor mousekeeper would get in trouble if an inventory of his/her cart was done..just a towel or maybe a bar of soap. One time I answered the door to see the mousekeeper standing there. She asked if I needed anything and then proceeded to give me a few extras. I left her a very nice $$$ thank you. :)

Aren't they the Joffery coffee company combo filter/coffee?
Yup. One regular and one decaf:

Well, yes, but we actually prefer the Disney coffee.

Mickey's Really Good Coffee (the blue can) is Really Not Bad. We normally pack zip lock with some filters, and then pick up a can and a quart of milk when we get there. I can't stand whatever comes in those "half/half" cups, and don't get me started on the powdered "creamer".

I've left a note and a 5 spot on the counter asking if they could leave an extra soap or coffee. You'd be surprised at how many extras they may give you.

We like the Mickey coffee. We also cannot stand the powered creamer or little cups. We go for the Coffee-Mate non-dairy creamer, since that is what we use at home. It seems that most of the deluxe food shops have it.

Keeps the dues down. Every extra towel that the resort charges DVC for, coffee packet, etc drives up the costs of dues.

On our last trip, we had 6 adults staying in a 2BR. There were 6 towels in the room. Seems to make sense right? Unfortunately, 3 adults were women who use a towel for their hair and a towel for their body. Now we are short. After returning fro a park late one evening,we stopped by the front desk to ask for more and were told they would send some up. After 45 minutes we are ready to hit the sheets so we called to find out when the towels would arrive. We were told that since we were staying on points there would be a $6 charge. They couldn't have called to let us know? It took another hour to get towels. At one point I was told to just go to the pool and get some towels. Really? In my opinion Disney needs to adequately supply the room before they should start charging for items. Disney sells DVC on the premise of their "legendary" service. What they leave out is that when you become a member, you aren't really a guest any more. This reality is becoming more clear as the years go on. Once they have a guaranteed visitor, the incentive to make them feel special fades. I can say that the 2 couples with us were less than impressed. So Disney may have lost $40,000 of future member buy in over $6 towels. That is leaping over dollars to pick up nickels. My dues go up every year regardless of whether or not someone gets an extra towel or two. Add the fact that the "new" sleeper sofas are cheap replacements that caused 2 separate adult couple significant discomfort. Now the accomodations I was sold don't live up to the sales pitch either. What I am realizing is that I was duped by thinking I would get the same type of vacation after buying DVC as I was before. Shame on me for that.

You took the words right out of my mouth! The towel thing drives me nuts, and where to hang them to dry (I don't mind reusing them) is another pet peeve of mine, too!
