hi tom! I love going to Windsor... and then London... and then finishing to Toronto... lol.

Anyway, believe it or not, WDW has available over 875 characters to do meets, but most dont for various reasons... popularity, comfort/safety, appearance, cost, fragility, age,etc....

here's an example of some that should never go out for meet.. Sebastian and Flounder. How do you explain a 6 foot tall crab and fish to a 5 year old kid. I've attached a picture of them from a private event held in July to demonstrate my point.

mktiggerman, I see your point, but I think the opposite argument can just as easily be made. I don't see the difference between a 6-foot tall crab and a 5 1/2 foot (or so) muskrat ... or a couple of 5-foot (or so) chipmunks ... or a 4-foot (or so) cricket ... or ... why one dog walks on two legs and talks, and another dog walks on 4 legs and doesn't talk ... or ... why our favorite mouse talks in the cartoons/stage shows, but doesn't say a word when you meet him in person ... or ... etc. etc. etc.

To me, it's just Disney magic! :)

I love the characters. I know sometimes they seem like they are everywhere, but sometimes thats the only way to see them. You get a bunch of kids around and its hard to get in and get your picture taken without anyone else in it. So I think its good to have them all over the place so you have a choice to bother trying to get a good picture or go over to another character spot where there might not be alot of people. I like toon town cause you get to see the characters better cause they only let so many in at a time.

Anyway I have a question!!!!

Where is DUMBO?????? He is my Favorite. I have a postcard of him by the monorail. So I know they have him in a costume. Also he's was in TMSELP. They need to bring him back. They could put him in one of the rooms in toon town so he wouldn't have to move around with the big ears!!!!

Another question!!!!!

Where is Steamboat Mickey???? He drives the Steamboat in Fantasmic!!! Why can't they have him out in the park.

I want my picture with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

dumbo wasn't designed for meets and has a way of hurting his friends- Steamboat Mickey looks great in Fant, but looks like crap in person... he does meets in Disneyland though (which is beyond me)

Hmmm... here's a question for ya...

When it comes to live action characters, why would they send two out at once? What happens when a kid sees one and then walks to another area and sees the same character but it's not the same "person" and they recognize it's not the same one they just saw?? I think having two live actions out at once is pushing it a little...

How about a listing of all the 875 characters that can do meets at WDW?!

How about no. I'm not really interested in losing my job
