Worth it? Is there any video available to see the view that you can see from there? I did read somewhere that if you go there before 10 a.m. you pay $10pp for adults instead of $18pp.

We have wanted to go up since it opened but several times the wind situation prevented launches, but on or last trip we finally made it up. You can see all around the DTD area, also get a great view of the areas around DTD. We could see parts of the parks that were in view...the TOT, the SSE, the peak white tops of EE, Swan resort and more. You can walk around the balloon platform to get different viewpoints. The launch and landing is very smooth. It was worth it for us because DW had been up in a hot air balloon many years ago before she was in her w/c and this gave her a chance to fly again. ( her service dog flew too ) I cant remember how long we were up, maybe 15 minutes. Not a bad deal for a different kind of Disney experience especially if you can get the discounted ride. I have seen videos on Youtube.

I would say, as long as you don't mind heights, that this is worth it to do at least once. Depending on how clear/sunny it is, you should be able to see pretty far. (I recall something about the discount vis-a-vis time of day, but not the specifics.)

It's worth doing at least once I suppose but ultimately it's nothing too amazing unless you have a really clear day.
