Ummm...no Mickey Mouse? Only 3-4 characters? Are the character breakfasts worth it? Will my girls get a decent amount of face timr with the characters to make it worthwhile? Thanks.

Standard for most character meals is 4. Mickeys not at every restaurant.
You’re child will get the same amount of time she would get at a normal meet and greet, maybe a tiny bit less, maybe more. The characters do have a lot of other guests and tables to cover.

We’ve done it twice in the last 5 trips. It is something we don’t do all the time, but once in a while is enough for us. I usually plan an Epcot/HS day after that because the hotel is closer to both of those parks.

I think whether it's worth it depends a lot on how much your kids like the characters, what characters you are meeting, and what the lines (and crowd levels) are like. A lot of the princess lines can be considerable, for instance. As I'm typing this, the MDE app shows a 70 minute wait for Mickey and Minnie at HS, for instance. (It's only a 15 min wait for Mickey at MK but a 50 min wait to meet Donald and Goofy OR Minnie and Daisy at MK.) Depending on when you go and how much you want to meet characters, it can eat up quite a bit of time.

Mickey is most easily meetable at Hollywood Studios, just so you know.

You can meet Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy at Minnie's Holiday Dine. This is at Hollywood and Vine in HS. The characters usually spend more time if you interact with them. If you just pose and don't try to interact they will go on to the next guest(s). We interact and they will hang around for a few minutes. It is harder when they don't speak. We have been able to keep a princess at our table for almost five minutes or so at Cinderella's Royal Table. Once we initiate the talk they will usually keep it going. Not always but usually.

We have never done a character breakfast, for that matter we usually have breakfast in our room. We feel that it is way over priced. We feel the value is better for lunch or dinner.

Most face time we ever got at a character breakfast was in Cinderella castle, but was not with Cinderella she was almost pushing the kids past herself as fast as possible but had lots of time with the character that came to the tables... I suspect it is because the castle has less guests compared to a lot of the other places. I wouldn't recommend it though if you are looking for decent food because it is the weakest food wise... If you just want the most face time with character at a meal the best experiences we have had were at 1600 Park Fare at dinner time, we've done it multiple times and always seem to get more interaction with the character there than at any of the other places we've done.

As mentioned 1900 Park Fare has the best character interaction at dinner when you have the step sisters. They tend to spend more time with everyone and Lady Tremaine and Anastasia and Drizella are so funny.

Tusker House And Hollywood And Vine both have excellent character interaction. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy And Goofy are at Hollywood & Vine. (Dinner) Maybe breakfast now, it used to be Disney Jr, for breakfast. The food at Dinner is not good imo, but again characters are amazing. Tusker House food and characters are awesome at any meal. Donald, Daisy, Mickey And Goofy here.
Like the previous poster said, the more you interact, the more they will- With both kids and adults. I have not tried Cape May for breakfast but I would think it would be better than say, Chef Mickey’s. To me that one always seemed so rushed as far as characters went. We stopped going there in 2008. I also enjoyed Garden Grill for the characters there. Chip, Dale, Pluto And Mickey. I can say service is excellent at Cape May for dinner, we always eat there, so I am sure it is at breakfast too.

Sounds like you need to do a little more research.

"Worth it" is relative. You'll get to meet all the characters, take pictures, etc. Your "ummm" and "only" responses and obviously indignant attitude indicates which camp you'll be in after paying the bill. You'll definitely complain about cost and lack of interaction and cost if that's your predisposition.

Essentially, you're paying for 4 popular Disney characters to walk up to your table, small talk, and take pictures. You decide if it's worth it because that's different for everybody.

1900 Park Fare is far better food, but you have to book based on the characters you want to meet.
