I wonder if the person misunderstood the CM and the CM was telling them that the character was getting ready to take a break. Thats the only time they halt photos with characters.

Everybody is allowed to have their photos taken with characters. The only problems could be the items the guest is wearing, but there are even ways around that.

That character attendant should be terminated.

I don't know if this would apply in Epcot...as I never work over there, but MK and Studios both have Little Ones Extra Magic Hours. In the morning various characters are out and interacting with children. The purpose is not to take pictures that are posed, but for the child to interact with the characters and the parents to get candid photos. That is one feasible reason that an adult would be turned away, it still is not acceptable that you were not provided with other options to meet Mr. Mouse however.

How terrible someone said that to you!! Love and I (and just I alone sometimes) have taken pictures with Mickey, Donald, Robin Hood, Belle, Cinderella, Buzz - you name it. No kids with us.

What a bummer. That's certainly NOT the policy though. Far from it! Everyone at Disney is a kid at heart.
