Character Performer Information Letter

I have recently auditioned and received a position as a character performer for fall 2007. I was under the impression that I would be told what character I would be playing in the information packet that was sent to me through the mail. I finally received mine today....however....it only told me that I will be a character performer and gave me the same summary(word for word) from the website. I am reluctant to accept an offer when I don't really know all of the details. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks!

You will perform all characters in your height range, not just one. How tall were you measured at in your audition?

oh ok BelleChick, it looks like we're in the same boat. From what I've been told, 5'6'' includes Pluto, Rafiki, Mr.Smee, one of the country bears, Prince John, possibly Eeyore, and I think Mrs.Incredible. Don't hold me to all of them, but I'm pretty sure those are some. Any more any one? and are you doing fall or fall advantage Belle?

Thanks for the help guys!I am doing fall 2007, not the advantage... I was hoping I would get to do some dancing or maybe some shows... I made it to the second part of the audition..I might just email the lady who sent me the offer. Maybe she could tell me.

It's like that with all roles, and it's frustrating. I got Transportation and don't know what I'm doing specifically.

When I got my acceptance letter it said character performer mouse height. But if you know what the measured you at you'll know what range you're in.
If you accept your offer you'll mostly be a fur character performer. Whether or not you'll do shows or dancing will depend on you color code which you'll learn more about when you get down there. However even if you are a good dancer, which it sounds like you are if you made it to the second dance audition, don't count on doing a lot of dancing roles or shows and parades. Dancing roles aren't plentiful in the character department since most dancers, like in the castle show and Beauty and the Beast are equity performers. You'll likely get trained in a parade or show especially since you'll be there for the Christmas season but you'll still being doing a lot of fur and a lot of sets and dining. As long as you're okay with all that, accept your offer, if you're going into this expecting to do just dancing or just shows and parades don't. So many dancers go into auditions expecting to get hired as a dancer and then end up very dissapointed when they're restricted to fur.

Could also be monorails or friendship boats. Could also be parking at DTD (Which is one of the BEST places to be for parking). I worked a cross u in parking at DTD and just drove around all day in a pargo setting up and tearing down road cones for blocked lots and VIP spaces.

I am a little over 5ft 6 1/2 in. I emailed Sharon Loeser and she is not in her office...but she was really nice and said that she would call me on Wednesday so that I can talk to her about it. That makes me feel a lot better!

I think she's in CA with several of the recruiters... recruiting So Cal for Disneyland's program. What a job, huh!
