hey I just had my phone interview... phew.... but she mentioned that being a chaacter performer would only entail doing fur, not face- I thought a few people had told me that while it wasn't as common, it was still possible... i just wondered if there were any CPs out there who were actually character performers and could help me out?

I did the phone interview, and I also want to be a character. What I think they mean is that you will mostly be doing fur. Even if you get face (which I know CPs can- I know some from my CP), you will also be doing fur. Does that make sense? BTW, which audition are you going to? I'm going to the Boston audition. March 30- can't wait!

Most face do fur as well. You start off in fur then go to face, that is only if you look like a face character..

ok see that is what I thought so it kinda threw me offguard when she said that- but I even asked her "so wait, did I understad you corrrectly that as a CP character performer you can only do fur, there's no possibility for face" and she said ya... so I dunno... I'm definitely willing to do both so it's not going to keep me from trying either way... um I'm going to the Phoenix audition on April 9th! good luck with yours- I'll definitely be talking to you after it so you can tell me what to expect!!! hahaha

quite a few Character CP's do face... it's just a matter of geting called back, fitted, approved, and trained for a role in time. If your audition is towards the end of your program, I can't quite see WDW spending the money to train you if you don't plan on extending

That's so exciting! Tell your friend congratulations! And yeah, I'll definetely be posting on the boards after the audition. I'm so nervous already, and it's a month away! I just want to do well so much, because I REALLY want to be a character.

Yeah. If you do the online presentation, then you need to mail in the application. I was told that they can't offer you a position until they have the application. I'll look for the address if you need it.

I just started my College Program in January and I do face and fur. I did the phone interview as well. At the audition they take your picture and on your second check in day they might pull you to try you for face. That's what happened to me. Or, you can go to the next open call face audition. (They take a LONG time... we had over 800 at the most recent one) If you are already in entertainment they can try you for a face character if you attend this audition.

ok that's definitely good to know!! here's another question then though- have you found that you're kinda bottom of the ladder when it comes to getting hours and overtime because you're a CP as opposed to a regular CM?
