Character moves happening at WDW

Plans have changed, and Mickey Mouse will be staying put at his current location on SoA for now. Minnie Mouse, meanwhile, will move to the meet n greet space being developed at Disney Junior. Odd move, considering SoA should be getting bulldozed at some point.

Meanwhile, Duffy is officially going away and will be replaced by Daisy Duck. October 3 is the expected final day for Duffy, although that has yet to be confirmed by my sources. Daisy currently meets at DAK and MK.

Yes, I've heard he's not coming back for meet n greets except for special character events. His merchandise will continue to be sold.

Bummed about Duffy - we bought one when o was pregnant with my eldest and it was her first teddy bear. She looks for him everytime we're at Epcot.

Why Daisy? There are plenty of places to meet the main six characters already. Princesses are also pretty easy to find. Why not add Hiro & Baymax in tommorrowland. Or some of the emotions from Inside Out in Epcot. There are a huge number of characters available so why keep repeating the same six!!

I completely agree. It could have also been a potential spot for Oswald.

Didn't want to start a whole new thread about this (apologies if this has already been said elsewhere), but since October 3rd seems to be a popular date in the M&G world...Mary Poppins isn't on the schedule past October 3rd - I don't know if that says anything about her future, but she's supposedly really popular.

While some really disliked Duffy, this location just seemed perfect for a unique character that loosely tied in with WS. My kids have always loved him and always want to stop if they see him out there. I'm sure Daisy will still draw a crowd as any character does, but there is nothing that makes this unique to Daisy or the location, which is one thing WS does really well IMO.

I highly doubt they'll get rid of Duffy. I see kids and adults with the doll ALL the time, and the merchandise seems to be selling well.

Duffy is indeed heading out, but I heard nobody would be replacing him in that location... Who knows. It will probably all be up in the air until the week of that drop.

Awesome news. I was just planning for my October trip, and her Epcot schedule isn't up past October 3rd. Normally I would just think they haven't posted it yet, but I've seen October 3rd pop up a few times for character "lasts," so I got nervous!
