Is it true that you can go to guest relations and get a schedule to find out who, when & where characters are going to be in the parks?

It's in the times guide, it tells you what character are out and where, like when Woody and Jessie were in the Diamond Horseshoe, it would say Woody and Friends, and then give the times they were there.

They won't give you a schedule, but you can always ask any CM (at least one who has access to a phone) and they can see if a specific character will be out, and if so, when and where. Otherwise, you can use the Times Guide as a good reference.

If I am in a park looking for a specific character I always ask a CM. They make a phone call and tell me if they are in the park that day or not. Example - in a gift shop in Adventureland looking for Aladdin - they called and told me - sorry, he is at Epcot today. Doesn't hurt to ask. :D

We did this too. When our dd was 5 she loved Stanley from Playhouse Disney. He was at Conservation Station earlier in the day when my sister's family saw him. We didn't have much time so we asked the CM if she knew if he was still there. She called back and found out for us. It saved us time that would have been wasted had he not been there.
