Character Height Restrictions

Hello! I have heard on several occasions that casting pays extra attention to those in the lower five foot range and lower six foot range.
1.Is this true?
2. What is the height restriction for playing a princess?
3.Would casting put any consideration in casting someone that is 5'8 (female) with a slender build?

Sorry for the numerous questions; it is my absolute dream to be "friends" with a princess and I'm worried that my tall build might get in the way. Thanks! :wave:

1- yes
2- varies by princess, but generally 5'4-5'6/5'5-5'7
3- Yes, especially since they tend to be off by an inch on measurements

You may be just a tad too tall....

I think it's prob the same since usually anyone doing Meg or Esmerelda would also be playing another princess but I'm not positive. I know Meg is in Fantasmic and I think they bring Esmerelda out once in awhile in world showcase and for training.

they're in the taller end... I know of Esmereldas that are measured at 5'9

does anyone know the princesses/ characters that are on the shorter end? I'm 5'3.5" and i am going to audition when i arrive for my cp. It has always been my dream to be a princess, although i know i should not get my hopes up :) Also, i dont know if this helps, but i am a quarter japanese so i have tan skin and darker hair.

I dunno about any princesses but I'm pretty sure you're chipmunk height!

there are only two face characters in that range (and maybe none, depending on how they measure you) and your tan skin won't exactly help you with those two.... but chipmunk height range is correct- which is a fun one to be in! (granted, i'm not in that range, but I like the characters!)

Which face characters are you refering to?

Because I know of a Jasmine and a Pocahontas that are about 5'3 1/2".
Plus I've heard from other character friends that if they think you'd make an awesome specific character they'll let a half inch or so slide...unless its Power Rangers or Star Wars people or whatever. Apparently those have to be exact.

does anyone know how tall mulan is? also, i heard they recently were looking for tinkerbelle's friends from the new stories. i was wondering how tall they are as well.

I'm pretty sure you're too tall for the Tinker Bell thing...plus I think they already had auditions for that. I don't know if they do it multiple times though.

I'm not sure of the height for Mulan, but all the ones I know of look really Asian. I'm half Asian and I don't even think I look Asian enough to do Mulan.
