Looking for some type of fun dining or character dining outside Disney without paying a park admission for one of our off park days. Any suggestions?

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (a dinner show at Fort Wilderness Campground - you won't need a park admission) is a ton of fun. It's an all-you-care-to-enjoy family style meal of salad, cornbread, barbecued chicken and ribs, beans and shortcake (and with beer, wine and sangria included in the price - not something you see much at WDW!) and a charming old-timey western musical with fun, interactive numbers and slapstick comedy.

1900 Park Fair at Grand Floridian. Cinderella and company. PRince, Step Mom and step sisters. Step sisters are a hoot!

What characters are they most interested in? Chef Mickey's is where you can see the Fab 5 all at once, though many people have said the food is mediocre. Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk has Flynn Rider and Rapunzel. (Haven't eaten there, so can't say whether it's tasty.)

If your kids like dinos, T-Rex in Disney Springs might be worth looking into.
