Character Breakfast

I have booked the character breakfast at the Crystal Palace and the best time I could get was 9.15.

My question is, should we plan to get to the MK much earlier than that as I am concerned that with the park opening at 9.00 (not an EMM), it may be really busy and don't want to have to fight with everyone else at rope-drop.

We've never been there that early before and don't know how manic it gets - plus we're staying off-site so we have to add driving/parking/monorail time on too...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ... :animwink:

Yes, I'd plan on getting there a bit earlier than that. Depending on the day/time of year youa re there, the opening/rope drop can be very crowded.

I'd try to show up by 8:30. They have a separate entrance for people with breakfast reservations. You may want to try to get through the gates a bit before 9:00.

I had one of the first openings at CP during my stay in November. The park did not open early that day, and I believe that they did not let us in any earlier either. I would recommend that you get in line early at the gate so that you have plenty of time to get over there, especially if you have to stop at the stroller rental or lockers. The CP had a couple of people taking names and seated everyone quite quickly. We didn't have to wait long at all. Have a great time!!!!

If you've never been that early before, then you are missing one of my favorite things at WDW - the opening of Magic Kingdom! Mickey and many other characters ride the train in to welcome you for the day. You should be there before park opening to catch it!

In August, we have a 10:05 at Crystal Palace because we want to experience the opening. Have never done that as we get up leisurly and then stroll to parks and stay really late. CM on phone said opening is at 8:48. I think you will just make it there.:)

We had reservations for Cinderella's Table at 9:00 last October. We got into the park without any problems with crowds or anything around 8:20. We were all set to tell them our reservation # if they asked, but no one did, so we got to enjoy Main Street & Fantasyland with hardly anyone there. Also, some of the rides in Fantasyland were running & there were lots of characters that I had enver seen out in the parks a lot before, like Mary Poppins & Bert. A lot of the characters were riding the rides with all of the guests.

Go ahead and see if you are granted early admission for dining (right hand side) If not, even with a crowded front of the park it will not take you 15 minutes to stroll up Main Street to CP. As was also said, even if you are a little late, they will not cancel your ressie.
