Character Autograph Card

On my past trip when I went to check in at Pop century the CM at the counter saw that I was celebrating my Birthday. She asked me out of the blue what my Favorite character was...So I had to quickly come up with one so I said Mickey...A few days later my b-day arrives and returning into my room I see a Baloon bouquet with a card..In it had a full size image of Mickey which was autographed wishing me a happy b-day. And throughout my trip I've seen families have there autographed cards displayed in there windows with other characters like Ariel, Donald, Buzz and so on...

So my question here is..Did anyone ever ask for a Rare character to Autograph a Birthday or Anniversary card?

I hope when I get back there and they ask me..I'm gonna say Dreamfinder & Figment....Hmm..maybe Stacy can autograph it.."giggity":D

When we went in 2004, we were asked the same question. I answered Snow White. When we checked into our room, there was a card signed by her welcoming us to WDW!

Are they doing this as part of the free birthday entrance to the parks promotion this year or is this something that happens every year?

It's something that happens every year. When I went back in Feb of 2008 I got a bday balloon and a card with a picture signed by all the pooh characters including Christopher Robin. I need to get it framed.

Oh. :( So unless they do not know you're celebrating your birthday, them asking for your favorite character is a long shot...

I would try Figment as well...

But what does Dreamfinder's signature look like?

At the time I didn't know how it worked..This was also the first time It happend even tho I've come to the resort around the same time each year...I put my Birthday button on well before I got to the resort and thought..Hmmm must have seen my button...But, now when you register your b-day Disneyworld.com your account shows a pic of Mickey and when your b-day is on the top right corner and it's really big..And even when your making a payment or doing anything to your reservation the disney agent will also say that you are celebrating your birthday out there...So unless they are looking at your Account that also has you Birthday and they put two and two together...That's probably how they did it...

Figment and Dreamfinder both have signatures.

Finally found this thread again!

Just a heads up, I was told during my trip that uber-rare characters do not sign the birthday card anymore. :(

BUT, at least it's still very cool what I unexpectedly received! :sohappy::D

Here's the card:

Oh, and the other side of the pic above gives you a PhotoPass card with special savings. :D
