Hello everyone and welcome to issue 1 of WDW News and updates. I figured all my titles should match, and this was an easy way to do so...
Let's begin, shall we?
-Mission:Space is doing well with 2 colors, and people seem to be much more aware
-My test track car had no audio, the screens went blank mid-way. The car also made a terrible clicking sound all thorugh the track.
-Work continues on Living Seas, no real news here.
-The new maps are awsome!
-SSE contines with it's improvements. The post show room is now only exiting to the East, as the west side is being worked on.
-I suprisingly saw nothing on the new KP hunt.
-At MGM, the 2nd to last showing of Millionaire was bitter sweet. The cast seemed bothered by it, and the audience was full of people who loved the show. (I did not see the last show, as it was full buy 5:00ish. All the people were being held outside Soundstage 1)
-It's that Time of year again! The Osborne lights are being installed on the Streets of America! The half of one side is currently done.
-The Corner of Mickey Avenue across from the backlot tour entrance has been decked out for KP meet and greets, the charactors are now posters in the windows, etc.
-One Man's Dream did re-open, and the new lighting looks great! Many of the models have been moved, and the Adventureland model is now gone. There is a new flying dumbo car on the roof I never noticed before. With those exceptions, the attraction seems to be completely as it was before, with a fresh clean-up.
-The ABC Theatre was fully ready for the Doodlebops, who opened there today. Mickey's Magic Show was in full swing at Soundstage 1.
-MuppetVision needs some work on the inside. Many of the effects are not working like they should, espically in comparision to the much newer, yet identical film at DCA.
-At the Magic Kingdom, not much to report, However Here are some notes on the New parade:
-The new music actally sounds a bit different then the video, more bass, a bit less singing. All the face charactors and dancers lip-sync with the recording.
-All the float charactors are now teathered in. In the previous parade, charctors in the snow globes were not theatered, but did have a support pole. All the charactors are now teatherd, no exceptions.
-All and all, great parade, I was impressed. The cast has really fallen into thier new roles and lines.
-Beyond the parade: Philharmagic's light smoke to show the lights has now returned after some absence (at least noticed by me).
-Work continues on Monster's Inc
-No audio for Little Leota
-The temp. buffet was in place at the noodle station. I find it wierd that they needed it, because we walked into tony's at 1:00.
-Cinderellabration contines to bore audiences several times daily, but thankfully not for too much longer.
-Did anyone ever actually realize that the Cars on the Indy speedway have steering wheels on different sides, depending on the load platform location? News to me, but interesting.
That was about it, feel free to post and ask questions, I'm sure to have forgotten something. Next update will be on Saturday. Until then, .
