Changing Resorts - Keeping Discount?

Has anyone had any experience retaining a discount when making changes to a reservation after the discount offer has expired?

Thinking about switching from Coronado to The Yacht and Beachclub. Got a 30% offer at Coronado that’s no longer available. Think it’s worth a shot to ask?

It never hurts to ask. We just extended our upcoming stay at the Contemporary for one night. We were also on the 30% discount for the original booking. We did NOT get the discount on the extra night. Just ask whoever you speak to to check for the lowest rate, which they should do anyway.

It would depend on what discounts are available for the Y&B and if they are available for your room request and date.

This is correct. There is a room discount from 4/18-7/10, 30% off at Yacht and at Beach. If your dates fall within this time period, do a mock booking and see if the discount is still available for your dates as Disney typically puts a cap on how many rooms they allow to be booked at the discount. We are staying at Beach at the start of July with this discount.

Tried using the chat feature to get this done and they couldn’t help me. Called in this morning and talked to a cast member who got it done! Obviously it’s not always going to happen in every case but this time they were able to transfer the offer even though it was no longer available! Saved me over $1,500!!!
