Changing Resorts from Beach Club - help!

After all the Fall discounts and FL Resident discounts we can save by switching.

Riverside $2200+ savings
Wilderness Lodge $1100+ savings

We have never stayed at either so both would be a new experience. We have stayed at French Qtr and loved it!

Riverside seems to have a lot to do -

Any suggestions?

Umm...well on its face, I'd say Riverside simply based on the $$ you'd be saving. But, if money isn't really an issue, then Wilderness Lodge hands down. It is the best resort at WDW IMO. I will never stay anywhere else again. It's truly so much easier to get around and taking the boat to and from MK is a wonderful and relaxing experience. If you choose WL (and again, if money is not an issue) you will not regret it.

You save a lot more with Riverside, But Wilderness Lodge is worth the expensive. Its really amazing! The music is great, the lobby is beautiful, and the pool is pretty neat. its not really special itself, but the view around the pool is really awesome. WL also has a couple good restaurants and a nice bar.

What about SWAN AND DOLPHIN....I just booked, it cost me 90 dollars more to stay there than POFQ. I mean, it isn't technically Disney but can you walk to epcot from PORS? lol

Wilderness Lodge is where its at, but thats just my opinion.

Yeah and added expense of travel from Airport and back and extra unneeded stress....thanks for tip though

I'd rather spend an extra 32 bucks on a shuttle from the airport then have to deal with a massive internal bus system at Port Orleans. if you stay non-deluxe the busses suck, now that is added stress

YES! WL, you won't regret it. Boat to and from MK, lobby, water pageant, geyser, nice woodsy walk to FW(we saw many deer roaming on this walk),this hotel is down right gorgeous. Not to knock Riverside, it's a good choice too.

Another vote for WL. We love both, but given the choice I would go with WL.

I would definitely choose PORS. We have stayed there twice and thoroughly enjoyed the theming, rooms and dining options. Saving $2,200 is a HUGE deal and that money could be used for another trip or to purchase extras for this trip if the money is already saved. You could do some tours, extra special dining or purchase all the souvenirs you want!

As nice as WL may be...is it really worth over $2,000 just to stay there? PORS also has the boat to DTD which we love.

Ive stayed at All Sports a bunch of times and had no issues with Buses' maybe its all in planning.....thanks for the update

i love both, but since you were going to be at the beach club, the wilderness is less of a shock

It was a dream to be at Beach Club. We've never stayed at a deluxe since we used to live so close, but now its our vacation place vs weekend place! We thought, time to step it up. Thanks!

but you have to stay at the beach club at least once. storm along bay and beaches and cream are worth it. i even suggest still going to beaches and cream for a kitchen sink......
