You can try emailing and asking (it doesn't hurt to ask). Unfortunately, there is no guarantee. And more likely then not it would be no. But still ask anyway.

You likely would not have even been able to be a server anyway as there is a massive wait list to get into one of those positions and they almost always go to someone already working in the restaurant or at least on the property already who has relevant experience off property.

They were most likely a seater/host then. I know a lot of people who go into casting to become servers and end up on the waiting list and in another role waiting for their chance.

I don't think that CP's are even allowed to be servers in full service F&B, as it's a tipped position.

edit: from the WDW CP website:

Full-Service Food and Beverage is a non-tipped role.
Responsibilities may include:

* Greeting and seating Guests in restaurants
* Managing a seating chart and resolving Guest situations
* Utilizing a computerized reservation/seating system
* Cash handling - both manual and using computerized registers
* Rolling silverware, folding napkins, and keeping area stocked
* Light cleaning, multi-tasking
* Standing for extended periods, working outdoors

I might not have extensive grounds experience but I do have an immense amount of waitress experience, doesnt that count?...is it even worth fighting for it if Id be wait listed anyway though? I was just really hoping to apply my serving experience to my job and I dont think it works quite the same if your on a cart!

OK so this means that I would be a hostess??? Wouldn't it be easier or wouldnt I have a better chance though if I got my foot in the door as a cp?

You'd be a hostess and/or seater. You could try asking to be moved from Quick Service to Full Service, but it's highly unlikely that you would--they need far more CP's as Quick Service than they do in Full Service.
