Chances of last minute fastpasses in July/August

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help with this question!

I am visiting in the summer last week of July and first week of August (had to travel during peak time due to school holidays!) with a group of 9.

As much as I love the people I'm travelling with they are not planners at all (unlike myself!) so won't plan anything ahead of time and just want to decide what theme park we're going to the evening before or each morning. We're staying offsite.

My question is what are our chances of actually getting any fastpasses if we're not booking until the night before? Will there be nothing left? (may not always be looking for all 9 of us)

Just want to prepare myself for the potential disappointment that there will be no fastpasses left for us!

Thank you in advance

Doing it the night before, you'll have some choices but probably not too many for the entire group in the same time slot. You can probably get some where the time slots overlap though. They are one hour long. Super popular stuff you will get blocked out of- Seven Dwarfs at MK, Toy Story and Fantasmic at HS, Frozen at Epcot if it opens by then, night time offerings at AK. Maybe you want to consider just making some Fastpasses for yourself for anything that you know you'd be disappointed to miss?

editing to add: If your group is hoping for any Meet and Greets, those are going to likely be a no go also. You're already at a bit of a disadvantage staying off site because onsite guests can book before you. That said- it is certainly possible to have a great time anyway. You can always just wait in line for most things but it does eat up time (and patience for those who don't like waiting).

Ah thank you for the advice!

Yes got a couple of days where just myself and my partner have ADRs (Crystal Palace for breakfast before park opening & La Hacienda de San Angel) so I will book FPs for those days as soon as the 30 day window opens!

Other than that will follow your advice and try and get a few other fastpasses booked in and hope for the best. Thanks again!

For the day where you have the pre park opening ADR at MK, you will most likely be able to get on a few attractions without much wait right after you finish breakfast. The best use for the Fastpasses you book at 30 days will be for late morning or afternoon when the park really gets crowded.
