CEO-elect Bob Iger at WDW?

I can't 100% confirm this, but I believe that Bob Iger, the new CEO-elect of the WDC, could be at WDW right now.

My parents went to Typhoon today to try out the new Crush n' Gusher ride. Unfortunately I couldn't go (:( ), but while they were over at the new sandy 'oasis' next to the ride, a group of security guys dressed in suits and wearing earpieces came over and blocked off a section of the seating area. As they were fixing the area up (raking the sand, setting up the lounge chairs, etc.) my Dad overheard one of the security guards tell a nearby lifeguard that the "boss" was on his way. When the lifeguard asked who did he mean, the security guy said "Mr. Iger".

My parents decided to wait around a while to see if he came (and maybe grab a picture), but after a while and with no sign of him, they went for lunch. They came back later to see if he ever came and found that there were now towels scattered on the chairs in the blocked off area, but no sign of Mr. Iger (of course, my Dad admitted to me that he probably wouldn't even recognize him if he walked right by  )

So anyways, to make a long story short, Mr. Iger may be at WDW right now. Perhaps to even check out all the new attractions that are currently previewing (?) Does anyone know anything else or can anyone else confirm this?

If I was in his position, I would not like to have all that security, In my opinion it would ruin the fantasy feeling.

Anyways why does this guy get his section privately sectioned off, so what if he is the new boss. :D

I wouldn`t be surprised - especially in todays climate. The CEO elect of one of the worlds most powerful media and entertainment companies..

Eisner usually had an enterauge (sp) when he visited - though more WDI and middle management than security (at least in the immiediate vicinity)

^^Honestly, the guys with the earpieces and suits could have been anyone. My parents assumed they were security based on their appearance. However, being the head of the second largest entertainment company in the world, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he needed/wanted some type of security. Then again, they might have not even been his personal security, more just like management types making sure everything was perfect when he got there.

If I was him, I'd put a ballcap on and just walk around as any other tourist to check out how things are going. Didn't Walt used to do something like that?

I can confirm. No link but I live in the orlando area and go to UCF. He was on the local news station either channel 6 or 9 and they showed him watching LMAX and then talking with the drivers. I wasnt listening but the title across the screen said it was him.

Nice to see Iger out and about...interesting how they seem to be phasing Eisner out...kinda like a classic attraction that closes...opens seasonally and then is closed for good and replaced....:lookaroun

Things seem to be going in the right direction...more Iger less Eisner...

Walt never walked around with security guards or anyone like that. Boy how things have changed in Fantasyland.
I doubt any security would have been necessary back then. Now, I'd be very surprised if anyone in that type of position didn't have some type of security around him when he was in a public place, like WDW.

Yes, Bob Iger has been in the parks for the last four or five days; he seems like a nice guy. And that's about all I can say about that.

I can confirm that Bob Iger has been at WDW the past few days. Al Weiss posted a message on the Cast Portal that says Iger has spent time taking in some of the new attractions at the parks.

Thanks everyone for the confirmation. My parents are going to be kicking themselves that they didn't stick around long enough to see him

Its good to see him walking around and checking out the parks. I'm not sure how much of that he did before while at the company.
