Today I ventured out to the Sprint store to buy a new phone well I found the one I wanted and the guy asked me how long I have had the other phone I said "I'm not sure" and he said "well you will have to pay full price if you haven't had it for 18 months" well I felt stupid and just left, but I got on my phone and called sprint and they said I have had it for 20 months. I thought about going back but the lady on the phone said I would pay full price then they would mail me a check within 6-10 weeks. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Anyway I have been with Sprint for 4 long years. I hate their customer service but the fact is no phone company seems to have a good one. One thing I like about sprint is that they have a lot of nice phones too. But one thing I hate is that where I live in Dr. Phillips I cannot even talk on my phone in my house, and it barely works outside. Not sure if it is the phone or just dang sprint needs to put a tower up.

So I am once again contemplating switching to another company but I am not sure who. I thought either tmobile but again I am not sure.

We have Sprint, too. Whenever we go to the Sprint store you have to wait & wait & wait while they talk on the phone or drink their coffee, etc.

I was told there was a new tower in my neighborhood, but I only get service on one side of my house! On the other side I'm roaming. We had AT&T before that but they don't service my area so only my husband could use the plan and only when he was at work. (all my calls were roaming).

I feel your pain. :(

sprint bites

they're too expensive and they dont give any perks to loyal customers. while service isnt a problem in my area with sprint, im afraid to change to someone else because my cell phone is my only phone so if i dont get service...im cut off

My dad has Cingular thru his work and its so far been decent signal on I-4 all the way down past Disney. Don't know how it works in the Doc Phillips area as the last time we were there was when my aunt lived there 7 years ago.

You may also want to consider Verizon, we have alltel(moved back down, but parents don't want to pay the 200$ cancellation fee as the contracts are up in a few months anyway) and alltel mostly roams on Verizon and it has pretty good reception around orlando.

I'd stay away from AT&T, and Tmobile has one of the best customer service in the business but are lacking in service outside of major metropolitan areas and interstates.

Also you may want to check out amazon.com for phones and services sometimes they have great deals on new phones. $300 phone-$300 rebate and only a one year contract(in most cases).

Travis - Not sure about Sprint, but I know the AT&T Wireless store has Disney CM discounts. Perhaps the Sprint store around here might have that as well? Also, I know sometimes you can bargain with them by renewing your contract -- not sure if that's something you want to do, though.

i've had sprint, and if it wasn't for the nice FCC Complaint retention plan I have, I would have ditched them long ago. You are right though.. their customer service does suck. If you wanna get something back from them, IM me and I'll tell you how you can get $10 back a month from them.
