I played a soldier in "Rumpelstiltskin" when I was in the 5th grade. We made swords out of foil covered cardboard. My mom told me that I was the best soldier ever. Please don't tell anyone outside of this thread, as I would prefer to not receive any special treatment.

The reviews were amazing.....

I've been on the local news. Twice!!!

I've watched the local news twice....

Not that the forums don't have their own "internal" celebrities... sort of a "Hall of Fame" around here.
and a few on the "Hall of Shame"....

I passed a local celeb while driving. He smiled and waved. That's why people like him. He's so nice.

I stopped a stranger on the street for directions once. I didn't recognize him until he was talking and I realized I knew the voice...and it slowly dawned on me that he was a singer. I was so embarrassed (I was 19 years old) that I couldn't listen, but smiled, thanked him and continued on my way, still lost.

Those are my biggest brushes with greatness. ;)

I was on the ABC national news once, interviewed on the radio a couple of times, cited as an expert on some arcane issue in the newspapers a dozen or so times, and testified a couple of times to Senate and congressional committees. But people like that are a dime a dozen here in the DC area, so nope, I'm under no illusions about being a celebrity. I wouldn't want the hassles of being a celebrity anyway.
