celebrity spotted

Just wanted to share that on a visit to EPCOT on May 13, my family and I were waiting to watch Illuminations when a gate beside Norway opened and a golf cart carrying George(senior) and Barbara Bush came through. It was lead by a second golf cart with what appeared to be secret service. They drove within feet of us--Barbara had on her signature black dress and pearls. Was a nice surprise. If someone has already posted this, I'm sorry to be repetitive (I haven't seen it posted yet).

This isn't Bush Sr's first time at Epcot.. I've seen him there another time, a few years back, eating Fish and Chips in the UK. Seriously.

It's funny how you see people (as in celebrities) in WDW. I can honestly say that if George Bush Sr. and Barbara Bush were right in front of me.. I still wouldnt know who they are. It's not that im disrespectfull or anything it's just that I dont recognize people.. ya know?? Like when you think it's someone and your not sure.. then you think.. nah they wouldnt be here. Anyone follow me???

I don't know if you have to specify senior. Bush Jr. never leaves his ranch, not even to run the country.

If you define celebrity as "someone who's been on the telly" then I spent my last trip to Disney with a "celebrity" - my Mother

OK, so she's never been in a Hollywood blockbuster, but I have found a site where you can see a TV advert she recently made for Bacardi Breezer in the UK. She is the old doll who has the spoken line right at the end.

My Mum on the telly

Just click the "Play Ad" button as they want money if you use the "Download Ad" button.

Thanks. She has made several adverts; most of them have been for the Continent and one for Norway. The Norwegian one was fun – a mobile phone advert that was set in Texas, filmed in South Africa and starred two old Scottish ladies!

Oh, gimme a break. I prefer a president with a ranch as opposed to one that vacations on Martha's Vineyard.

::Waves finger:: Hey now guys, cool it, this is getting dangerously close to a political argument, and Steve, who has been so kind to provide us with this excellent service at no cost to us, only to have us chipping away at his soul like a thousand little ice carvers trying to do post-modern art.
I think we should honor his wishes and kinda leave the politics out of it.

Amazing. I defend against someone taking a cheap shot at the President and I'm the bad guy.

This part was just as much an attack as the one you were "defending against" so you just need to get off your high horse : "...as opposed to one that vacations on Martha's Vineyard."

Why is that an attack? If the man wanted to vacation in Martha's Vineyard, that's fine. I just said I preferred a President that vacations on a ranch. It endears him to someone like me that grew up on a farm.

I was defending against the attack that said he never leaves the ranch to work. The President of the USA is on the job 24/7...even when vacationing at Camp David, a ranch in Texas and yes, even Martha's Vineyard.
