Celebrations

Everyone has been a great help with the other questions I had asked ( the autograph books and DME). Now I am just wondering something...I know this year's theme is "What will you celebrate?" Well on my trip this year there are 3 celebrations! My birthday which would be a the month before our trip, my first visit and my friend's birthday which would be 3 days before our trip. Is there anyway to make note of these celebrations while at disney to make it even more magical? Thanks in advance!

If you are making the trip to celebrate these birthdays, go right ahead. Tell them when making your room reservation that this is for a birthday celebration. Indicate dates that you want to celebrate your's and your friends. You don't need proof to get birthday buttons.

My understanding is that when you accurately file the information for a birthday free ticket, the certificate is good not just for that day but can be used for some time after. Many people do this.

You can only get the Birthday free ticket on your actual birthday. If you already have a ticket to Disney or are a Passholder you can get a ticket that is good for up to a year instead. The thing to remember is that you can only get the birthday stuff on your actual birthday and will not be able to get it any other time.

You can make note about why you are celebrating at the parks by getting the Birthday button and 1st Visit buttons and wear them around. If you are staying at one of the resorts you can let them know what you are celebrating and they will make a note about it on your reservation and you may get some special surprises.

Yes, have them put your celebrations on your reservation. My party is celebrating a family reunion, wedding anniversary, and a health triumph. Elizabeth from kk placed these on our reservation when we booked. Hopefully we'll get an upgrade or something else when we get there next month.:sohappy:

Disney are great for celebrations, we've had birthday cookies and cakes, with candle, been given a special personalised menu celebrating our engagement, wedding and honeymoon, had our dessets celebrated up, been given buttons, had birthday cards from the characters left in our rooms with a little present (a balloon) and best of all got a room upgrade to club level for our honeymoon. Just make sure they know about it, if you have dinner ressies either pull them up online or ring 407 WDW DINE and get them to note it on the system plus remind them at the podium when you check in, same with room ressies and again let them know at check in. Most importantly wear you buttons, its amazing what magical moments cast members will give you.

So should I just call my resort because I didn't make my reservations. My travel agent did therefore didn't ask me what me and my friends were celebrating or should I just tell them at check in?

as long as you aren't celebrating day you check in you will be fine doing it on check in. (they will give you buttons at check in.) if you make dinner ressies, make sure you note the celebration with disney and mention it again at the podium.
