Celebration Wishes Fireworks Cruise

We're taking the hour-long fireworks cruise on June 15th to celebrate my Aunt and Uncle's 30th Wedding Anniversary. (I'm irritated that we have 11 people and it only fits 10, but whatever.) We're looking into getting a cake and decorations and champagne on-board, and I'm also interested in hearing from people what they've thought of the pontoon boat...

Was there enough room for 10 people? Crowded? Were the decorations worth it? Did you have a good time?

Thanks!:)

I am very sorry to not have an answer for you, but will you make sure to give us a post when you get back? We are doing this in August for DH birthday and want your feedback, there are 10 of us as well.

Well then you think SOMEBODY on here's been on one, right? If I hear anything, I'll let you know!! (We just want to make sure that it's worth the $300 - nothing could be worse than having a bad time AND knowing you paid $$$ for it.);)

We just got back from the World last week and did the Wishes Fireworks cruise for my husband's birthday. We really enjoyed the cruise. Our guide was really nice and gave us a great tour before the fireworks and then offered to take us around the lagoon again after the fireworks also (we declined this because our 4 year old was exhausted!). The only thing that was a disappiointment were the decorations. I think it was $25 extra and all it was was 2 balloons and a Happy Birthday banner. We had 6 in our party and I don't see why 10 wouldn't be fine- it's just a pontoon boat so it's not like you're moving around a lot.

Have fun!

Has anyone mentioned the Grand 1 as an option. It is the now 52ft Searay that is docked at the Grand Floridian. It is more $$$ but will hold 18 (I think). We have done both the pontoon cruises and now several on the Grand. They are both great (if the weather is). It is so nice to enjoy the show and its reflection on the lake. And then the best part quickly and quietly return to were the boat picked you up. Both are worth it but for (I think it was 100-150 more) an extra treat with more people check into the option.

This is my reply to other posts......
I surprised my family with the Wishes (8) cruise in 11/06. It was $250 (then anyway) b/c we took a boat that piped in the music. The package included sodas, water, and snacks. You can order food for an extra charge if you want. The CM was great. He took us around the lagoon before the show and told us some "unknown" facts. Then we anchored in front of the Castle along with 3-4 boats. I'm so glad we did it. I'd fork out the money again. If you're concerned about the money with there only being 4 of you, listen to Disney. They suggested maiking friends with a family in the parks and ask if they wanted to come along & split the cost. The people can't get on the boat without you (or your credit card) so you won't get robbed if the person is dishonest. But make sure they're there on time! Good luck and hope this helps!.............11 should be fine, didn't get decorations but sounds fun.
