Celebrating your unbirthday?

So we are planning a trip starting this Jan 1st. Our son will turn 1 1/2 (18 months) while we are there. He didn't have much if a 1st Bday at home because he has had so many problems with milk and starting food He is eating everything now and really took off recently with no problems. We were hoping we could get a small cake and ice cream and celebrate at Chef mickeys for him turning 1 1/2. Anyone celebrated their unbirthday before? I'm thinking Disney won't care, but you can tell he doesn't look exactly 1 or 2.

I am celebrating my 40th birthday at Disney this Nov, 6 months late. I do not plan on getting a birthday button though. The only people who will know are my family, especially my DH when he pays the bill since it is my belated bday present.

That's so funny. My mom always celebrated our half birthdays by singing "A Very Merry Unbirthday" to us as kids and giving us half a cupcake with a candle in it! I do the same for my kids now. Go for it!
Me too! And to add a little more crazy to it, one year on my daughter's half birthday I stopped at a local (and delicious) bakery and asked them to write Happy Birthday on a cake and it cut it in half and box each half separately. I left one half in the car and took the other into the house. She was delighted that I even thought to do that. Great memories!

Since I will never get to go to the World in December, I celebrated my unbirthday just last week when I was there! My birthday is in 3 weeks so I saw no problem! We also celebrated my god-daughters 7th birthday the whole time too... her birthday is September 2nd and the trip was a birthday gift from her Mother so of course we were celebrating! It was the first time I celebrated my birthday in WDW out of 20 trips there, so I saw no problem doing so. It was really nice and the cupcakes they give are delicious! I took my pin off around the 4th day of the trip but it was noted on all of our ADR's. I actually loved being able to celebrate with my niece together in my most favorite place in the world.

I get the whole thing about celebrating 6 months or more away from your Birthday though. I only travel to WDW in November, so December is just cutting it too close with the hustle and bustle of Christmas to take a trip there. Have fun! :D
