Celebrating Jim Henson’s Muppet*Vision 3-D

IMO, it is classic but it was never really that good. It's OK and I know what they'd put there would be worse, so I'm against removing it.

The bunny is so annoying too.

I've never really cared for it. I don't like the Muppets, don't find them funny at all and find them a little creepy actually. The show itself is very dated and I'd rather see it go personally, or at least replaced with a brand new Muppet experience just to appease the fans. It's had it's day.

Curious! What does a little dated mean in your definition? I can not see anything dated about it. Unless it means that you are tired of seeing it all these years. It is one of Jim Henson's masterpieces and because of it's purpose, unlike the rest of the Muppet catalog, it will never be seen again. I think it is the only 3D thing that he did and without the venue it will be relagated to the something gone forever. I've heard it described in many ways but creepy never has been one of them. It maybe time to send a search party out to find a lost inner child. It had it's day and is still so well done that it deserves to continue. Sadly, the person whose genius created that is also gone and Disney needs to honor it the same way they occasionally honor the genius of Walt Disney.

It's dated in that it is clearly a product of the early 90s, it's very apparent just from watching that it wasn't produced recently, some may see this as a plus which is fine, but I don't. For a company that likes to showcase innovating and cutting edge entertainment, this isn't it, 3D shows in this style are oldhat anyway, I'm sure they had the wow factor many moons ago but it doesn't cut it these days, for me anyway. This show has been playing non stop daily for 33 years, people have had plenty of time to experience it. If Disney really wanted they could put it on Disney+ or 3D Blu Ray if you have a screen that can display 3D. You can also view it on YouTube anyway, it's not the same but it's not like it's going to become lost media if it closes. I will also add The Muppets franchise is extremely American in nature, which is also fine, but I'm not American and I don't relate to a lot of the gags and characters. I didn't grow up with the Muppets/Sesame Street or any of those shows as they weren't aired in my country at the time so I don't have any connection or nostalgia to it.

I am going to say, and try not to sound rude, but you don't have to go to it. And the force behind the very idea that it is in the park has been dead for a couple decades now. Upgrade might change it technically, but for those of us that experienced 33 years ago it is worthy of continued operation. When we have seen something often enough it gets a little stale, but we have to understand that just because we don't like something the answer is not to get rid of it. The answer is to add to the entire area with new things that have the possibility to be updated. The magical person behind the creation of that show can no longer upgrade it and it has a 90's feel because that is when it was created. Every single day someone reaches the point where they can see and appreciate it for the first time and not have the ability to age it.

Personally, I went to Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor once, thought it was cute, but not interesting enough for me to ever go to it again, so I just walk on by it now. I wouldn't even think that because I don't care about it that it doesn't entertain hundreds of others and want it removed. There are still millions of people just in this country that have never seen it and just got old enough to really appreciate it. To them it isn't dated, it is brand new.

Im appreciative of the the thirteen short years we had it here at DCA. It really is a classic attraction and the Muppets are simply iconic.
It's such an embarrassing thing and feels sacrilegious to watch the odd version of Mickey’s Philharmagic in a theater that housed Muppets.

IIRC it was mentioned Muppets didn't really pull well at DCA. A lot of that has to do with that fact that 3D shows get stale quickly at DLR thanks to its high number of repeat APs.
