We booked a 6 nights stay for me, my wife and our 4yr old boy at CBR. We have a water view room.

We were initially looking at a value resort, to be more kid friendly, however my wife and I need a queen size bed to enjoy a good night of sleep - we both move a lot in our sleep.

Because of that we decided to stay at a Moderate resort and CBR seemed to be a good choice. My wife and I stayed at CSR for our honeymoon is 2011.

Is CBR an enjoyable resort for the whole family?

Absolutely, all have kid appeal and comfort is really important. I would trade anything to not have to share a double bed with my wife. Queen is the absolute minimum! CBR has a great pool, lots of kid activities too.

I have not stayed at CBR, but I've seen photos from friends who have. I definitely think you made the right choice. Also, I consider "kid friendly" as having a fun pool WITH a slide. I'm sure your 4 year old will love it! :)

I say this to everyone, kids will enjoy ANY Disney resort. They don't over think it like adults do. Plus they have no frame of reference as far as "good or bad" resort. They are all great to kids. As long as there is a pool at the hotel, kids are happy. You can stay at the Super 8 and if it has a pool, kids love it. You are the adults and the ones paying for it, so you get what you want. Kids take their cue from their parents, if the parents are happy where they are then so are the kids, especially a 4 year old. Go and enjoy your trip.

The pool area is wonderful with young kids! My sons loved the splash pad! They also loved the playground on the island in the middle of Barefoot Bay. You made a wonderful choice for a kid that age--I think better than a value for the great pool area. Plus a 4-year old would enjoy building sand castles on the beach in March since it won't be 95 degrees! Enjoy! We stayed at CBR in March and the weather was perfect. About 81-82 every day.

We booked for the same place. Strangely enough it was the murphy bed that DD8 thought was awesome in the planning video. Guess its the idea of a single bed that "hides"

I hope DS4 likes the murphy bed too... Maybe I could have a bed of my own - although I'm not sure DW would like that ;)

Our kids fight over the murphy bed.

There is construction planned soon for CBR, but I think most insiders were saying it should be fairly contained and not affect guest experience too much.

You didn't mention the pirate themed rooms, so I'm assuming you don't have one of those. We prefer Jamaica or Aruba.

If I remember, each group of buildings had its own pool and beach. And the buildings near the first bus stop (Martinque?) are a long walk to the food court. Plus, no elevators in the buildings.

Great choice! We went there with our boys at 5 year old and almost 4 years old SB last year. They absolutely loved it. The pool is awesome and we really liked the laid back theming. Have a great time!

I'm hoping to get a room in either Jamaica or Aruba - we didn't want the pirate rooms due to smaller beds (twin) and being furthest from Port Royale.

We loved our stay at CBR. The food court offered a wide variety of choices, the ambiance was fun and the pool was the favorite attraction of our then 3 year old son. You will have a wonderful time. Enjoy!
