CBR Corner Rooms...any bigger?

Are corner rooms at CBR (or any resort for that matter) any larger than regular rooms? I know that more windows letting in more light would be an asset, but I don't plan on being in my room during the day to enjoy it. I thought I read somewhere that corner rooms at the CBR have King beds, but I honestly can't see how a regular room could have a Full & a corner could jump all the way up to a King. Seems a bit of a stretch to me. Hope I am wrong...

Rooms that have a king bed only have one bed, so there's plenty of room. I guess there could be a place that has two kings in one room, but I've never seen one. Others may be able to tell you if they've been in one with two kings.

The regular rooms have 2 full beds while the corners have only 1 king. This makes them appear to be larger due to more open floor space, but to my knowledge they are not actually bigger to any significant degree.

The extra window in the corner rooms also helps with the appearance of the room being bigger. We had a corner room at Riverside (still had two beds) and it just seemed a bit more open than the regular room.

I don't know that they are bigger, but the ones I've been in always have a king, so that helps, space-wise. I think they usually have two windows, too, so that helps, too. The farther your eye can see and the brighter the room is, the less restricted you feel.

That's my take, anyway.

To the OP, I'd say no.

One year we were on first floor in Jamaica villa and had an outside corner room. King bed was super! Room was very large, IMO, and we loved it.

Next year we tried for the same villa but they didn't have a room ready when we arrived that had a king bed. We got there a little ahead of schedule on our arrival day. So we moved to the Aruba villa, they found us a room that was ready. Funny actually the SAME CM checked us in from the year before - and they got us on the 2nd floor with King bed still only in Aruba instead. We recognized him and he said let me check, YUP I checked you folks in last year too! Anyway this room was mid way around a corner - guess you could call it an inside corner room but not at the crease of the building or directly at a corner if this makes sense. Room was just as large and very nice again! Very close to the bridge that takes you to Port for the food court.

For us as long as we are at CBR and can be near that area with a king bed we are happy. Thought of the Trinidad North area too during our morning walks around the entire property. We'll see what we decide for this coming May2013.

I will say I did like the first floor better but again both rooms were very large and very clean and well worth it.

I can't believe I didn't think of there only being ONE king bed. In my mind, I was envisioning TWO king beds. Duh! Ok, that would make sense then. Thanks for your insight everyone!

Wow, what are the chances of the same CM checking you in both times?! That's great! As much as I would ADORE a king sized bed, it won't work for us, as there will be 4 of us. We will be just fine with the full sized beds, though. Really looking forward to staying at CBR for the first time!

Look at the bright side. CBR has the largest rooms of any of the moderates and was initally a Deluxe Resort during its early days. My family really enjoys CBR. For us it is pimarily just a place to sleep and swim, we don't spend loads of time at the resort. If we didn't have the kiddos we would probably go Deluxe but the laid back feel and comfort makes it feel like we are a million miles from home.

Yea it was pretty neat to recognize him. He told us he'd been with Disney for 8 years. Great guy and very helpful!

CBR - thus far is our favorite resort. YES it is large! HUGE EVEN! But once you spend a day on the property you will learn the lay of the land. We stayed at POP in the 80's/90's building before that. Always liked POP and stayed towards the computer screen pool area as it seemed quieter. Since there is only 2 of us we can pretty much do what we want and try things easily vs. a group. When we decided to upgrade to CBR we had no idea what to expect. BUT 5mins on property and we really found a new HOME. The theme is very nice and again we feel the rooms are pretty nice. Motor coach pickups are easy too. We've used them as well as taken our rental car on and off CBR property. BOTH are easy and convenient.

Would we go back to POP? Sure. Would we rather be at CBR - YES. The personal beach areas each villa has are great for the evenings. Grab a few adult beverages and a cigar or 2 and just sit on the beach and chillax the night away. ;)

Hope you enjoy your stay at CBR!

Personally I think the more windows the better.
