CBR Bus transportation ... how bad is it really??

We've stayed at All-Star Sports, CBR, CR and BLT. If we weren't DVC - BLT members, we would probably choose All-Star Sports over the CBR. With the All-Star Resorts, we found the bus was faster to the parks because if it wasn't filled at Sports (which it usually was), it would go to one or both of the other All-Stars before heading to the park. That was very rare. The bazillion stops at CBR was just too much for us. It's a beautiful resort. We had a great spot right next to the food court building. We honestly wouldn't go back.

ok... I an staying at CBR for the first time in June. We are going with family and they chose this place. We have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Pop Century (loved POP but had to go and have another kid).
We could not stand the transportation at POR! This is why I ann seeking help!
So my question is how early should we leave the room to catch a bus - I know it depends on what building and what park. But I am looking fro a safe estimate for all.
in the morning should we over do it by always leaving an hour and a half early or would an hour be sufficient?
I have tried to research this but I guess I just want someone to say "to get to a park that opens at 9 leave your room at 7:45" - I know there are many variables that could effect the time it takes to get to a park. I just want a safe estimate!!!!
An App would be great!
Please help!

I really don't like saying anything negative about Disney but if given the chance to return we would not choose CBR again. We stayed in Jamacia which is usually the first stop for the buses & meant that we had to stop at every single stop each time. It would add sometimes up to 30minutes on the trip depending on the amount of people on scooters. Buses were slow in October too, If we had a dining reservation it could get quite frustrating. One night we had a 9.20 ADR at O'hana we left our room at 8.10 and didn't get to Ohana until 9.45. For the rest of the trip we ended up leaving 2 hours early just to be sure.
2 hours even in the morning?
So if the park opens at 9 you would catch the bus at 7?
My hands are tied- I have to stay at CBR due to other family. So I am trying to make the best of it! How early should we leave in the morning?

If you have dining reservations to deal with, two hours is suggested. I wouldn't think so, but on my most recent trip we had to bust tail to get to the reservation a couple of times and we allowed 60-90 minutes.

If you want to be at a park at rope drop, give at least an hour. Remember that you will be going at the same time as many other people so there will be some delay as people get on and get situated, and yes, scooters. Any other time of day give at least 45 minutes (i.e. you need to catch a FP). Buses will be less crowded, and pick-ups will be quicker. Of course, the buses will be more crowded coming back later in the day as people return so drop offs might be slower.

In the mornings, from what I have seen (heading out to the golf courses - I am not a rope drop guy), they do seem to run additional buses to get the crowds to the parks. Kind of like at night when they run additional to get the crowds back.

I wouldn't sweat it too much (although in June you will have no choice lol). Yes, CBR does have more stops than any other resort. And yes there may be times when it seems like you could have watched Gone With the Wind before you even leave. But there will be other times when you will think you must have missed a stop. CBR is a great resort, and in all my stays (every year since 2004), never had an issue with the buses (save for this year, but that was user error).

Have fun!!

Mornings were usually a little better maybe an hour to get to MK from leaving our room. It was just SO hit and miss that I wouldn't risk it again, especially (and this is only our opinion) because we didn't enjoy the resort nearly as much as POR or FQ so wouldn't return even if the buses were great.
