CBR Building Thoughts?

Does anyone who is a CBR vet or at least familiar with the layout have a preference to which island they like/don't like?

I know Martinique/Trinidad N-S are either preferrerd or pirate, so beyond those, we've stayed in Barbados and Jamaica, and preferred JAM... though that may have been because we had the newly refurbed room in that one.. Did think the buildings looked nicer too, though.

We like Aruba and Jamaica. They are both very quiet, and just short walks across the bridge to the main pool, and food court.

Another vote for Aruba. It is pretty quiet and the walk to everything is not bad at all.

How would you be able to stay at one of the new Pirates room? We are interested in changing our reservation to stay in one of those. It's been about 9 years since we last stayed there (Barbados)....that room was far away from everything and would like to stay some place close. Are the Pirate rooms close?

The pirate rooms are not close. They are in Trinidad South. You can reserve a pirate room (the theming does look really neat) but they do cost more.

Aruba 51, 52, 53 or Jamaica 44, 45, 46. The best situated Islands--near enough without paying extra for preferred location, and all have the beautiful walk over Parrot Cay Island and the footbridges that REALLY put you in a tropical mood. Also, you catch the morning sun.


Avoid Barbados and Trinidad South (pirate rooms in Trin. South: you are paying extra to be as far out in a remote area as possible.) The rooms do look great though.

I personally avoid Martinique and Trinidad North b/c they feel so on top of Port Royale...you don't get to explore the Resort, like staying at Jamaica and Aruba allows for.

The pirate rooms are a little ways from Old Port Royale but I, literally, timed my walk from that village and it was only 6 1/2 minutes. That's walking at a normal pace.

If you want to be close to Old Port Royale, you could always book Trinidad North or Martinique. Most of those buildings are preferred and cost more. Or, you could request a room in one of the Martinique non-preferred buildings. I know that Building 23 is not preferred (because we stayed there) and the walk wasn't bad at all.

Again, Aruba or Jamaica!! Close to the footbridge. The colors are also very "warm" and add to the Island atmosphere.
