Castle Wall Performances?

Although I completely agree with your second sentence. Please dont be rude by stating how you "LOL" at the opinions of others. It is okay to disagree, but such comments are simply unnecessary and not constructive to the topic. This isn't meant as a personal attack, but lately people on these boards have had trouble with the generally accepted idea of "if you dont have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

There is nothing wrong with "laughing out loud". If you have an issue with my post, let the moderators know so they can do their job. Or if you are really concerned about disrupting a thread or rudeness, a PM would be more appropriate.

I'm curious to see how the rest of the wall is set up. The area that's been revealed had all benches along the side of the wall. I'm wondering if they're setting this wall up so it can be used as a sort of "parking structure" for strollers. It's kind of removed from attractions, so you don't have the walkway being walled off (like the small world/Peter Pan area). I'm not saying they'll put lines on the pavement, but it's a fairly central location to the land and if people park on either side of the wall (not in the arches), it shouldn't disrupt flow...

Just a thought.

But why are they dividing the old from the new? I know they have a "story" for it but they also had a story for "Journey into YOUR Imagination" and in both cases the stories made sense, I just don't know how good a story it is though

At the other end of Fantasyland they knocked down the skyway to make the path wider to let more people through, but at this end they're putting up walls and archways to restrict the amount of people???

I'm sorry I just don't get the point of the wall, if they had performers on top of it would at least be useful, like the stage in front of Cinderella Castel, it's also "IN THE WAY" and "BLOCKS THE VIEW", but the stage in front of the castle does have a purpose

The Castle Wall is pretty though, but personally I'd rather be able to see Belle's Cottage in this photo than the stone wall

I think the view is supposed to be blocked in certain areas... Disney wants us to see certain things from certain angles.... not that big of a deal really?

And like someone else said, think of all of the extra seating/stroller parking/shade these walls can potentially provide?

It seems the space between Pinocchio's, the Carousel and the Wall is going to be a pretty big plaza. From Entertainment's perspective, a great spot for a temporary event stage or daily streetmosphere which wouldn't clog up the pathways.

The wall also helps create reveals and makes the Park seem even bigger and each area more immersive.

The wall is going to fill pretty much the entire area where Dumbo was, so there won't be much more space then there was when Dumbo was there. Here is a sketch I did a while back showing where the wall will go:

this pic illustrates the my point exactly, I'm not concerned with the New Fantasyland because it looks like it'll be beautiful, but this Castle Wall is going to box in the Original Fantasyland and it basically turns the Original FL into nothing more than the entrance way to the Expansion. Instead of building a wall to divide to two areas, I think they should just leave it open and unite the two areas

From recent photos, the castle walls have become massive, they are double the thickness since I last saw them and started this thread. I'm starting to think catsle wall performances may be possible.
