I've only gotten one cocktail at Castaway Cay and that was at the bar at Serenity Bay. Actually hubby got it for me and delivered it to me at my lounger! I got the Konk Kooler (a passion fruit slushie drink, like a pina colada), and it was very good. The bar tender told my husband he "accidentally" made to much so I got two of them for the price of one.

Bars
Find signature frozen drinks, cocktails and cold beer at these watering holes:

  • (New) Sand Bar near Castaway Family Beach
  • Conched Out Bar near the Gazebo
  • Castaway Air Bar at Serenity Bay
  • Heads Up Bar near Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure

Cast Members do walk around with trays that have the drink menu on them, they will take your order and bring your drinks back to you and charge it to your room. There is a drink special of the day.

I always end up downing Pina Coladas there...lots of Pina Coladas....:)

They do have servers at the beaches who will take orders and such. It's nice, and we liked that touch. However they don't come around as often as we liked. They seemed sort of stretched thin. Our two trips to Serenity Bay were nice but only had a sever come by one time on each visit.

Also the CM's who walk the beach will usually offer some kind of early morning special like a bloody mary or screwdriver before noon. I think it was something like 2 for the price of one. One thing I'm not sure is if these folks are true CMs or some other type of employee because at times they can be a little competitive over making sure the guests only order from them, kind of like furniture salespeople.

All the drinks are just drinks from a park or another ship renamed so technically they are special but are in no way unique to the ship and/or your cruise. I forget what they call it on DCL, but if you know the ingredients you'll notice things like Typhoon Tilleys on every menu...
