cast members?

I was curious if anyone on this site is WDW castmembers.It sounds cool!when I'm old enough I want to work as snow white,or mickey,or in the tower of terror,or splash mountain.Anything really.(espcially a dole whip vendor :slurp: )
Is it a fun job?do you get to do cool stuff like ride rides after hours?

Welp there are quite a few CM here that I personally know. Others that I don't but I think for the most part we all love our jobs.

And yes there are events where we get to ride things after par hours, but it is rare. Now if you work at a ride, that is a whole new story.

I was a Cast Member in 1982-1984. It was very cool the first 9 or 10 months after that it was just another job, be it a good job with good pay (for the time). I guess I had done most of the exporing that I could do and things started to get old after working 48-52 hours per week for a while.

Speaking of Disney Cast Members! Hi there! Speaking of Pixie Duster going to Epcot... Magic Kingdom will miss you, especially denizens of City Hall.

I was a CM on the College Program in 2003. I loved it! The nice thing was that I was a lifeguard and we got TONS of overtime and therefore worked about 3 or 4 days and had 4 or 3 days off (not the norm for CPers).

While I liked the living aspect of it (Spring break year round atmosphere) I think because my Apartment-mates (most of them) and I didn't "gel" to well, I enjoyed the Disney part a whole lot more than others may have. I did lots of the "Disney Learning Center" stuff. That's where you can meet different execs, take behind the scenes tours of other work areas, get all sorts of cool background info on attractions, and just generally learn a whole heck of a lot of stuff about Disney, business, people, etc.

Needless to say I enjoyed it quite a bit and may be heading back there (not for lifeguard though), if I can figure out a budget plan.

A couple of times at Blizzard Beach, our (excellent) managers would open some rides just for the CMs to "play" on. Good times, good times...

Hey beauty_belle,
I just checked your profile and I see you still have a little while to go before you can do anything. How old are you, 13? That's awesome, I've always wanted to work at Disney for as long as I can remember. There are plenty of cast members on here. Yeah the jobs at Disney are a lot of fun. About riding the rides after hours? Sometimes you get to, usually just on cast member nights. What's cool is when you get previews to the new rides before anyone else!
