My DH and I are moving to Orlando because I will be going to nursing school. He would like to get a part time job at Disney for a little extra pocket money. He will be working full time during the week. My question is more so directed at the fun/recreational bonuses that working for Disney provides...

Part time vs. Seasonal

1. Does he get into the parks for free? Or only part time people?

2. Do we need to get APs still - or just me?

3. How long do they need you for training? He will have a full time job too.

Thanks!!

I believe he gets into the parks for free and would be allowed to let three other people in with him 6 days out of the year (except for blackout dates), so if you wanted to go more often, you would have to purchase APs (there might be a small discount; i'm not sure). For me, training from Traditions to check out took about 2 weeks total.

Wait we need APs for both of us? Or does he get into the parks free since he is an employee anytime - with some blackout dates?

just for you - his ID is never blacked out (with the exception of special events EMH, MNSSHP, MVMCP etc.)

random question- where are you going to nursing school? UCF? I'm a nursing major as well and am trying to figure out where the heck I want to finish my degree (have to get out of ASU :brick: ) I've looked into moving back to orlando because of disney, but didn't know too much about the nursing programs- is it pretty good? i'm looking for one that has a least a good rep- I want to go to med school afterwards so I need a good spring board....?

Although I am not a nursing major (I am a radiological sciences major and am in the same college at ucf that nursing is - the college of health and public affairs) I can tell you that UCF has a pretty good nursing program with a good reputation. They are also building a medical school which I believe will start taking students in 2008 or 2009. So by the time you finished your nursing program you could apply directly to the medical school without having to transfer to yet another school (plus I'm sure UCF would give at least a little bit of extra consideration to one of its own graduates). If you have any other questions or want to know more about the school, feel free to drop me a line. Hope this helps a bit.
