Cast Member Looking For Help From Cast Members

Im currently working as a Walt Disney World College Program campus rep. which means that I have a cast ID and a lot of comp. tickets. My problem is that Im comming down to Orlando for X-mass and would like to get into the parks to see EPCOTs CP and the Osborne Lts. on the 23rd of DEC and I cant remember how stiff Disneys policy is on letting cast members in the park during Black Out dates. If they wont let me in with my ID Im also wondering if Im able to use comp tickets durring these dates? Anyone who knows anything about this, I would be greatfull for any info you have.

WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort - FLORIDA
Magic Kingdom® Park: January 1-3, April 5-15, July 4, December 24-31
Epcot®: July 4, December 31
Disney-MGM Studios: December 27 - 31
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park: December 27-30

So, per Travis' post above, you can see you'll miss any blackout dates on the 23rd. Also, to answer your question, comp tickets are usually ok on blackout dates, as is your ID for yourself. Exception to that is New Years' Eve, most years, and 4th of July.

Such policies have a way of changing at the last minute, but the blackout dates normally stand. I can only remember one occasion (in 16 years) when they added to the blackout dates mid-year.

You can use comp tickets on blackout dates

For 3 years in a row I used comp tickets to get into EPCOT on New Years Eve.
So you should not have a issue using the comp ticket if you are going on a block out date. I have a comp ticket that expires on 12/31/04 so if you could not use it why would it expire on that day?

From what I have been told, Blackout dates apply to Maingates... comp tickets are just like any other ticket media that may have been purchased, and do not have black out dates. The company often asks or requests you not to use them on those dates, but you still may.

CM ID's also still work.


Now of course, if the park starts to fill to capacity, and goes into its phases, that's when you might be out of luck.
