"Beginning a few days before Thanksgiving, Rancho Del Zocalo will dump both its Texas barbeque menu and its current Anglicized Mexican menu. The Mexican offerings from Rancho Del Zocalo were universally panned by the Hispanic focus groups, and many non-Hispanics feel it never quite reached the quality once offered at the original Casa Mexicana. In the old menu's place a new, more authentic menu featuring "regional Mexican" entrees and sides will be offered. While this is officially just a temporary menu test, it's quite an extensive change-out, and it really proves just how serious TDA is about actively courting this demographic. Even the Entertainment Department has been tasked with restoring the Mexican Mariachi bands that used to play in Frontierland for many years after the park first opened (or perhaps some other Latin entertainment) into the small amphitheater in front of the restaurant to complete the theme.

But perhaps most importantly, in addition to the new food items, they'll be swapping out all of the restaurants signs to offer Disneyland's first bilingual menus. While the vast majority of the Hispanics interviewed in the focus groups said that they did not expect Disneyland to offer bilingual signage around the Park, it's thought that Rancho Del Zocalo's efforts will help send up a welcome flag, while still fitting neatly into the Frontierland theme."

WOW!

I think it will be a good change as long as the BBQ menu shows up at another restaurant. More authentic Mexican food will be good for business and the mouth.
