Cartoon Crossovers: Episode 1(Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse

This is a first episode in a series I made up called Cartoon Crossovers. This show features world famous Disney and Looney Tunes characters(only these for now)going head to head to see who is the better cartoon.

In this episode, we focus on 2 iconic legends. They are MICKEY MOUSE and BUGS BUNNY.

Whoa. I'm not gonna lie. So, so far, Bugs Bunny is kicking Mickey Mouse's butt in the polls.

All things considered (and I mean all) then Mickey is the champ; as far as cartoons are concerned, then Bugs gets the nod (in my opinion).

I gave the ever-so-slight edge to Bugs. If Mickey Mouse had stayed the mischievous little devil he was in the early days instead of becoming a watered-down straight man in Donald Duck's heyday, I would have chosen Mickey. Bugs was a consistent entertainer, however. He always got to be the funny man. I know why Minnie loves Mickey, but Bugs is just a little more fun to watch.

Bugs is certainly a more versatile character actor. He is never taken too seriously as he is not a corporate figurehead. For example, you will NEVER see Mickey dressed in drag.

I had to go with Bugs. After all..I worked with him at Six Flags so we were pretty close.

I've never been a Mickey fan, but I do love Bugs.

While Mickey shows a nicer side (Granted that they changed his personality in the later years) Bugs still shows a smart alec side that still makes me smile as seen here in Roger Rabbit.

Depends on the criteria. Mickey is the more lovable character with his personality. For a laugh, Bugs is a sneaky little booger.

Asking on a Disney fan site who is better between Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny? That's like going into a Republican discussion board and asking who is better between Newt Gingrich and Barack Obama.

Yeah, but the poll response shows that people are being reasonably objective on this one. Both polls are about how I would expect them to look on a Disney fan site.

This is an easy one, as I grew up watching Looney Tunes. Bugs has provided me many more hours of entertainment than Mickey, so he gets the nod.

An intersting fact here is that Composer Carl Stalling and Directors Friz Freling & Chuck Jones all worked at Disney...Friz worked on & Carl composed the earlier Mickey shorts. While Chuck worked the in the early 50's for about 4 years just after the WB's Animation studio shut down.

Yes, this board is biased.

On a non-Disney board I can not help thinking Bugs would knock out Mickey Mouse early an first round.

Sure I am a fan of Mickey but what is he widely known for Fantasmic, Steamboat Willie and then maybe on by Disney fans vs dozens of shorts by Bugs that show on cable everyday.
