Fingers crossed, except if they've invested $1 billion I would expect them to make every attempt to make it work, either that or they rename the project John Carter 2

The NextGen project in Anaheim is approximately 18 months behind the timetable for Orlando. The program kicks off formally this January at Disney World and expands throughout the spring, and should be rolling in Anaheim by the summer of 2014.

Does Al work for Disney or is he just a blogger
He's the Editor in Chief at MiceAge/MiceChat, a DL focused news site with forums. He's best known for being one of the main critics, along with the LA Times, of DCA in it's early years and the regimes of Paul Pressler and Cynthia Harris. @WDW1974 says that he's sort of become a lap dog for the current President of DlR, George Kalogridis.

Ok thanks, so now he is a corporate tool after being a watchdog for the park?

He and MiceChat's columnists still criticize problems at the parks (I.e. replacing period appropriate window displays on Buena Vista St. with generic Disney crap), but you can certainly see the agendas of his sources, his main sources often being George K. or folks who are authorized to leak to him by George. In other words, he's far from a Lou Mongello type, but he has been influenced to some degree from who his sources are.

First off, if Lassetter wants the full Carsland he has enough pull in the company to make it happen. And second, I thought Lassetter wanted it exclusive to DCA, but now he and Imagineering are salivating over replicating it? I'm sorry but I don't see creative people like Lassetter and Imagineers salivating at the idea of spending the next few years doing it all over again.

They apparently want to keep it exclusive to stateside Disney parks for a while as sort gives DCA a second chance to impress guests after a horrendous first act. Tokyo is a different ball of wax, and obviously, they have the $$$ to do it right, and maybe even let skipper John & crew develop a new Carsland attraction.

Personally i would rather see it in Tokyo that in Orlando. I hate that all the parks are becoming too much alike. I want to see other parks and experience other attractions not the same ones.
