How great would it be to have a cars ride similar in design to test track? The great thing is the back story can directly follow the thread of the film and allows for three great set pieces:

-first race - Lightning McQueen (LMQ) fails to win the Piston Cup (He did what in his cup?!).
-radiator springs - story development on the 'enlightenment' of LMQ
-final race - 3-way between LMQ, The King and Chick Hicks - High speed loop time! :slurp:

Plus the cars you are in can be engineered to 'interact'...

I think Radiator Springs Racers is like Test Track. In some parts of the ride, the interior part of the ride is slow and the part where you're racing to the finish line is fast. Although it's a different story, the ride is set up the same, but it does sound like a good idea.
