It’s worthy of a comment because I felt like commenting. How about that?
If you feel like commenting on a public forum, expect reactions and commentary. I don't really get why you're acting puzzled about very straightforward responses to what you said.
It’s not atypical to lose the amount of guest facing mature trees that are being lost because of this project? Are you serious? Please stop with the non sense.
It's absolutely not atypical. Practically every guest-facing tree in Camp Minnie-Mickey was razed for Pandora. The same will occur with Dinoland, and so on and so forth.

No I’m confused on how people are confused.

Did your relatively recent and one extremely recent example result in the same net loss of trees? Regardless, whether is atypical or not had nothing to do with the point I was making. My original post on this topic quoting Walt should have made it clear that Walt (and myself) think that trees (especially mature trees) make the park beautiful. This part of the park will have much fewer trees now. Please stop playing dumb.

People are only confused by your reaction, not your initial post. You complained about people misusing Walt quotes and then immediately twisted one to support your own disappointment in this project. You then very quickly turned to characterizing two-sentence responses as "rambling" and acted confused when it was pointed out that this happens with every new development and that there would likely be a decent mix of trees at various stages of maturity throughout the new area.

A reasonable counter from you might have been something like, "I know it's normal and that some trees will return, but I just meant that I'll miss the ones that were there before and much preferred the existing island to what I've seen of the Cars area." Instead of clarifying your point in the face of a response you felt was unrelated to your intention, you vaguely insisted that others perhaps hadn't meant to reply to you or that your point had been "clear" when it obviously wasn't. Maybe just reiterate what you meant next time instead of accusing people of "playing dumb" when you got multiple responses you felt didn't jive with the original sentiment. Anyway, that's all I'll say on the matter as there's little point in continuing to clog up the thread.

Very articulate summary of the situation.

Sorry I’m not spelling this out for you guys just because you’re sensitive.

Yes I’m the sensitive one and somehow me saying “trees make the park beautiful” has 9 people spending their whole evening writing to me. You know when I see someone posting stuff that is clearly ignorant I ignore it as it doesn’t interest me as the comment or poster has nothing to offer me. So it’s interesting to me that this got such a big reaction. Very telling.

You’re assuming quite a lot there. Disney is quite responsible with the environment, including trees. You’re overreacting.

Rizzo the Rat: Boy, that's scary stuff! Should we be worried about the kids in the audience?
Gonzo: Nah, it's all right. This is culture!
